Double room next to Brockwell Park

Hi! I'm Maeve, originally from Ireland but I've been living in London for a few years. I'm looking for someone to join me in my lovely, airy 2 bed in Brixton as my flatmate is moving out to buy her own place. The contract is due to renew at the end of March, for 12 months.

The flat is on the third floor and has secure key fob entry and a lift. Brockwell park is right next door, which more than makes up for not having a garden! There is a balcony, separate bathroom and toilet and a good sized kitchen for two people, with loads of storage.

The room is a double, again with lots of storage including a giant double size wardrobe. There's more storage space throughout the flat as well, if needed.

It's about a 10/15 minute walk to Brixton station, a short bus to Tulse Hill station or a lovely walk across the park for Herne Hill. We are also directly above a bus stop with a bus/nightbus that runs directly into central.

The area is fab, being right beside the park is great and we qualify for residents' ballot tickets for summer events there like Mighty Hoopla. If you're a swimmer there's a Lido and Herne Hill farmer/craft market is a nice way to spend a lazy Sunday. Brixton is a very short walk away for shopping or a night out. We're 5 mins from a big Sainsburys and a small Tesco and about the same to a few great local pubs. I've lived here for two years and love how much there is to do (drink and eat) around here!

I'm 28 and a civil servant. During the week after work I'm usually out with friends, at the gym or watching some crap TV on the sofa. I love to crack open a bottle of wine while cooking or watching TV. I'm quite bad at keeping houseplants alive, but am trying to be better. Big fan of cheese.

Practical/boring part:
Bills are separate and about £90 ppm on average, much less in the summer.

The rent, deposit and contracts are managed by a company but we deal directly with the landlord for any issues in the house. He's a great guy and really responsive.

Unfortunately no students.

We'll have to pay a fee to renew the contract, £60 each.
Deposit is £970.
The room is available on 1st April.
