Great Double Room In A Modern Flat, Brixton

The room
I have a large double bedroom to rent in a modern 2 bed flat that has recently been renovated. The room has a double bed with a brand new mattress and has ample storage with a built-in wardrobe, chest of drawers, dresser and bedside drawers. The room has double-glazing and central heating.

The flat
Situated on Roupell Park the flat is tucked away in the corner of one of the blocks of flats. As mentioned it has recently been renovated and so all areas of the flat are to a high spec. There is a separate toilet and bathroom, both of which are clean and free from mould and damp. The kitchen is brand new, a good size and well equipped with everything you could want (I love to cook). The lounge is modern with two comfy sofas and a big TV and surround sound. The whole flat has a real homely feel I like to think. There is on street parking outside the flat, which is by permit only. The neighbours are all very friendly and the estate has a real community feel to it.

Bills
Bills are inclusive of the rent and includes heating, electricity, water, TV and broadband, TV license, council tax and a cleaner who comes every two weeks minimum. 1.5 month's rent is required as a deposit and rent is paid on the first of each month.

The area
The flat is located towards the top of Brixton Hill with a Sainsbury’s Local just opposite the flat. There are plenty of other amenities in the area, which include fast food places, dry cleaners etc. There is a big Sainsbury’s located around the corner on Brixton Water lane and so easy for shopping. With Brixton centre only a 5-minute bus journey places like Brixton Village, Market Row and Pop Brixton are easily accessible.

Transport
There is a bus stop right out side the flat. Buses go into Brixton every 2-3 minutes and take 5 minutes to Brixton tube and train station, which connects you to the Victoria line and Victoria station. TFL now run a night service at weekends on the Victoria line and so very easy to get home following a night out. Walking into Brixton takes around 15 minutes. Busses go direct to Liverpool Street (133), Marble arch (159), Elephant and Castle (333) and Kings Cross (59). Night buses that stop outside are the N133 to Liverpool Street and the N109 to Oxford Circus. Buses go in the opposite direction to Croydon (250/109), Streatham Hill and Streatham station (59/133), Morden (118), Tooting Broadway (333) and Clapham Park (45). Busses around the corner go direct to Clapham Common (137/417). Streatham Hill train station is 5 minutes away on bus and so opens up a few more routes. Basically, its VERY easy to get to most places.

No couples sorry. There is also no smoking in the flat. Ideally a young professional who is fun, easy going and can hold a good conversation. Be male or female. Please be clean and tidy, I’ve worked hard on the flat and expect people to respect it, I can't emphasise this enough. Other than that, I’m pretty open minded.

I am a doctor who works in a South London hospital. I mainly work sociable hours with the occasional unsociable hours thrown in, nights and weekends blah blah.... Someone who is considerate of this is a must. I’d like to think I’m fun and easy going. I’ve always lived with other people and so can appreciate how things work. I like good food and drink and often like to go out for dinner. I have a great circle of friends who are welcoming and are generally a good laugh. Other interests include going the cinema, cycling and CrossFit .
