Room for Rent

Hello lovelies,

We've had a few recent couple transitions so we're back!

Room is £357.56 + bills (discounted 25%) until January.

We're looking for a mature, sociable, kind-hearted person to join us in our huge house in Camberwell, near to South London Gallery and a short walk 10min walk to all the (pre-Covid) fun of Peckham Rye and Camberwell Green.

This time we're looking for any gender identifying person, 28+ years old. We like our house to feel like a home so someone who is happy to get stuck in and be part of the group is a must, but we do totally respect the need for space too, particularly at the moment. As we’re all living in the same space a lot more, cleanliness is really important so we can all enjoy the space comfortably.

There are 7 other housemates - a range of artists, musicians, design people, child psychotherapists from London and around the world. Fear not - we're not a party house, although we do have the occasional celebration and/or impromptu drinks. We also like to go out for a drink (pre-Covid), have family dinners, and watch movies on the projector together.

There’s plenty of space with a massive kitchen, a big garden and living area and even a small spare studio/music/art room. The room is a bright double on the top floor and you'll share a bathroom with only one other person. The room is a decent size but not massive and would probably better suit someone living one the lighter side of owning things but you can work the space really well if needed. If you're currently working from home there will be access to our little music/studio room.

Covid update:
Our landlord is amazing and suspended rent for 3mth, and from July we’ve got a discount of 25% off rent for the remainder of the year!! During this time we’re been very conscientious and community-minded, taking distancing guideline fairly seriously given that we’re not the typical household with such big numbers. However, we’re big on communication and talking through individual/collective needs as things progress and change. Our massive garden is a huge saving grace during this time, and because the house is so big it rarely feels like we’re on top of each other.

The rent is usually £476.75pm with a £430 deposit. However, with the 25% discount you’ll be paying £357.56pm until January 2021. Bills are usually around £50-60 per person (individual and couple) each month which (pre-covid) includes a weekly cleaner. There are no fees!

The room is available from 1st September and the contract is covered until January with the likelihood to continue for at least another year, we've had the lease for 5yrs+.
