Spacious double room in Canning Town

Hello! I am temporarily leaving this house as I am allowed to be working from home until March so it makes no sense to stay in London. I wouldn’t leave otherwise, this house is amazing. Unfortunately the dog will be coming with me and not staying!

It is a six month let, available from September 1st until February 28th. Potential to increase this for a few months longer, it really just depends on my work.

The whole house is so roomy and it really is a home, not just a room. We have a huge lounge/diner, the most ridiculous kitchen I’ve ever seen in London, a garden to enjoy the sunshine in, an office upstairs for any work you need to do, a garage for working out, a conservatory that is used as storage space, a driveway if you have a car, and your bedroom is really spacious too. The bathroom is shared with two other housemates, one male and one female. They are in their late twenties to early thirties. One of them will be moving in on the same day as you. They work in PR and finance.

The bedroom will have one bookshelf and one large wardrobe, otherwise would be unfurnished. I do not need my small wardrobe or bed whilst I am in the motherland, so if you would like that kept there I’m sure we could come to an arrangement.

We do have a neighbourhood cat that tends to pop in from time to time too. He’s called Yogi and he’s really friendly!

Bills come to around £110 - £130 a month. We all take a room (lounge/diner, kitchen or bathroom) and clean at the same time on Sundays. We then swap the room for next Sunday. At the moment we have been cooking for each other on Sunday afternoons too. One person does a dish for everyone one week, then the next person does one next week. It was a thing to keep us entertained during lockdown really but so far we have kept it going. We hang out and watch films together often too. It’s a really sociable and friendly house.

I was almost tempted to just stay here as it’s so great, but really makes sense to go home and save!
