Hi I’m Hannah, a 32 year old working in the arts, looking for someone to share tea, wine and bills with in a lovely two bed flat in Clapton. The flat is bright, airy, and has a really good energy about it; it has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, an open plan kitchen living room, and a little roof terrace.
I work fairly long hours Monday - Friday, so like to use the flat to relax and unwind, however love filling the space with people for drinks, dinner and other shenanigans at the weekends.
I have been living here for almost six years now, so both the flat and area really feel like home - I would love whoever moves in to feel at home too, and to find someone who feels like both a friend and roommate.
I'm hosting viewings this weekend - get in touch if you would like to drop by and say hello!
A few more details:
Location
For those unfamiliar with Clapton, its a great part of town. The flat is surrounded by local cafes, restaurants & pubs (Milfields Coffee, P Franco, Lucky & Joy, Lodestar, Bake Street, Crooked Billet, Prince of Wales etc all within a 15 mins), is a 5-10 minute walk from two gyms (Blok, and Lee Valley Ice Rink), and has a huge amount of green space starting at the end of the road (the marshes are one of my fave spots in London).
Many of the best bits of East London are within walking distance; Hackney, Stoke Newington and Dalston 20 mins walk away, Chatsworth Road 15 mins walk away, and Hackney Wick a 20-30 minute walk along the canal.
Move in date
I have put February 1st as a move in date, but can be flexible for the right person.
Furnishings
The room is set up with basic furnishings but there is still a lot of room to make it your own.
Bills
Bills come to around £200 per person per month, which breaks down as:
Council tax (Band C) - £46.50
Gas and electricity - £63.50
Water - £6.60
Wifi - £22.00
Council Tax - £46.50
Cleaner - £60.00 (twice a month)
Transport
The flat is 5 minutes walk from Clapton station, so well connected with Liverpool Street (Elisabeth, Hammersmith, Circle and Met lines) and Walthamstow (Victoria line). Since the Elisabeth Line has opened up it takes just over an hour to get to Heathrow, which it pretty amazing. It is also a 10-15 minute bus ride to Finsbury Park / Manor House so another quick connection to Victoria / Piccadilly.
Languages
I speak French and Spanish, in case that is helpful for people looking from abroad!
