Double room in Friendly Clapton Houseshare

From 15th Feb we’re looking for a housemate to join our friendly house share in Clapton. We would like to find someone who is aged between 30 - 40 and could join us for at least 6 months, preferably longer!

The room is on the ground floor and is a large, bright room, furnished with a chest of drawers, two bedside tables, a double bed, a sofa, a large shelving unit and a built-in clothing rail. The dining room and quite a big garden are the main communal spaces (one of us in particular has transformed the back garden into a great space to be) perfect to chill and have meals out there in warmer weather. There is one bathroom fitted relatively recently with bath, shower and toilet and then another separate toilet. Bills for energy, council tax, water, cleaner (every 2 weeks), internet etc. are about £100 each extra a month (more now due to recent cost of living increase).

The current household is made up of a musician, an artist/technician, a boat refurbisher and an artist (2 female and 2 male) ranging from 30 - 40 years old. We often share meals, hang out and do things together in or out of the house. We want the new housemate to be someone that has some similar interests and we think we will get on well with.

Shared facilities include bathroom, toilet room, dining room, a big garden, kitchen, two fridges and a freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, gas cooker, shed, attic for extra storage and a barbecue.

The house is 4 mins walk to Clapton station and 20 mins on the overground to Liverpool St, 35 mins to Oxford Circus. Millfields park is at the other end of our road and leads on to the River Lea and Walthamstow and Hackney marshes which are perfect for walks/runs/cycles.
