Double Room with private balcony in shared house

Hello! We are looking for a new housemate to join us in a 3-bed house in Colliers Wood, South West London.

The house is a three-story townhouse in a gated community, with a spacious living/office area with balcony attached, kitchen/dining area, bathroom and separate toilet downstairs. There is also a garage, driveway, back garden and additional guest parking spaces which are empty most of the time, so no need for a permit and there's always somewhere to park. The room available has its own small balcony which gets a great evening sunset.

The whole house has also been recently painted from top to bottom from Magnolia to a crisp white. Lockdown got the better of me so I thought, why not.

There is the option to have the room furnished as the current housemate is happy to leave her bed. But if you'd like it unfurnished that is fine as well.

We are located a 10-minute walk from the Northern line and a 15-minute walk to the nearest overground. Tooting is also a 20-minute walk/ bus ride away and Wimbledon is a 25-minute bus ride. Wandle Meadow Nature Park is on our doorstep, with Wandle Park a five-minute walk away. Merton Abbey Mills, which has lots of cute shops and nice food outlets is also only 20 minutes’ walk away.

We're also super close to an Aldi, two Lidl's, big Sainsbury's and an M&S for those days when you're feeling fancy.

We both work varied schedules, including some weekends and though we enjoy a wine here and there or a spontaneous pub night, we are not looking for a party house environment, but nights in with a takeaway or a home cooked meal, snacks and a bottle (or two) are always on the cards, although an occasional night out isn't out of the question ;)

Having a clean and cared for home is also very important to us, so someone who shares these values and is respectful of communal areas is essential. We are sociable but also respect others privacy, and as the house is so spacious, there is lots of room for it.

Adelaide works in Theatres (when they are open) and at the recently reopened Sound Lounge in Morden/Sutton.

We have not long started a two-year contract, which runs until June 2022, so would be looking for someone for the rest of our time here, although we can be flexible with this.

Bills come to around £115-£130 a month. This includes council tax, energy, Sky Tv and internet package, water and TV licence.
