The flat is open plan, with a large, sunny sitting room and kitchen and dining area which looks out over Crystal Palace park.

The spare double bedroom is at the back of the flat, and looks out over a large garden, so the room is very quiet and peaceful. It has a brand new bed and bedding, a desk work space and chair, and shelving and wardrobe units.

The bathroom is next to the spare bedroom, and has a bath and overhead shower.

The whole place is spacious, peaceful and bright, and looks out to trees and open skies at both the front and back.

There is fast wifi, a dishwasher, and a washing machine and dryer.

Transport links

The flat is a 4 minute walk from Penge West station, which is on the London overground line, with fast links into the centre - 18 mins to Canada Water (jubilee line); 22 mins to Canary Wharf; 23 mins to London Bridge; 30 mins to Waterloo...
There is also a direct train that runs straight into London Bridge (23 mins)

Other stations are Penge East station (10 mins walk) - the train from there will take you into Victoria station in 18 mins, so you can be in town in 40 mins - and Crystal Palace station (10 mins walk through park).

There is free street parking.

It also takes 40 mins door to door to get to Gatwick airport from the flat, in case of interest ;)

The area

The flat overlooks Crystal Palace park, which is lovely for walks, and running. The park also has a huge sports centre (7 mins walk through park) with Olympic-sized swimming pool and gym, badminton, classes, etc, which is open 6.30am until 10pm.
There is a lovely cafe in the park which serves very good coffee.
10 mins walk through the park is Crystal Palace 'triangle' with a huge range of cafes, pubs and restaurants, a massive Sainsbury's, a great bookshop, and a weekly farmers' market.
The local corner shop is 5 mins walk away, and there is a Tesco metro 10 mins walk away.

About me

I am a full-time school teacher, so I tend to work quite long hours in the week (I am usually out of the house by 6.30am, and rarely return before 6/ 7pm). I would be around more in school holidays (though I often go away during the hols).

I am fairly quiet, but happy to socialise. I cook a lot, and go to the theatre, do yoga, swimming and dance.

My previous flatmate lived here for 3 years, and has now moved in with his girlfriend into the flat below, so I have very nice and friendly neighbours :)
