- What living here offers-
After experiencing the "skyscraper Canary wharf lifestyle" I decided I wanted a place to call home & proceeded to purchase this one.
The house is 1000 sq. ft. If you are trying to avoid a tiny room &/or a small flat, then that is definitely covered. There are spaces to be by yourself &/ be social.
The large & cosy couch with the projector make the perfect combination for weekend naps while during the summer you may want to enjoy the good weather in the backyard with a glass of wine.
You may or may not have a dog (!) & you want a house where the pup can feel comfortable (we have a shed that used to be my dog’s home) & so can the flatmates.
Finally, an 8’ walk gets you to the Royal docks where you can have a really nice stroll looking at the Canary wharf skyline with the reflections of the water on your side. I do that very often.
- The house -
A mid-century style terrace home, with a new boiler, new carpets & electrical board. We are going for a "smart home" feel with lots of geeky tech stuff such as Amazon Alexas in most of the rooms, an Amazon Fire Tv, Nest thermostat, & a short-throw projector & screen in the living room. Really nice large sun-soaked backyard with large shed & festoon lighting. Your room is fully furnished, with lots of built-in storage & a double bed in the bedroom. There is also a large & bright kitchen with water dispensing fridge, large convection oven, Nespresso machine, Mixer, electric hob, lots of storage, washer/dryer combo machine & a dishwasher.
Toilet, living room, kitchen, dining room (can fit 6 people for dinner) & backyard/garden will be shared - great for dinner parties.
Internet, water, gas, electric & council tax all included.
- Location & Accessibility -
- 20' from Canary Wharf, Stratford, 25' from London Bridge, Whitechapel, Tower Gateway, 35' from Bank, Shoreditch High Street.
When the Elizabeth Line opens in 10/2020 also < 20’ to Farringdon, Bond Street, Tottenham court road.
- About the flatmates -
We are two guys living here. I am running a company in mental health & my flatmate is a software engineer in a startup. We tend to read a lot of books, watch TV & be quite active. I am into martial arts, cycling & walk a lot & my friend plays volleyball. You might also hear chats around philosophy, entrepreneurship & lately a lot on psychology & the neuroscience of habits.
Our general vibe here is relaxed & we like to have a friendly environment while making sure the house is kept tidy & clean.
