A spacious flat part of a beautiful old building on a quiet road, with two ensuite double rooms, kitchen and living room as common spaces. Flat has two outdoor areas (one for each room), a balcony, and a newly renovated bathroom for guests. A comfortable, bright space with plenty of room for people to relax and work from home.

The flat is a 5-8-minute walk from Dalston Junction and Dalston Kingsland, but is situated in the quiet streets of De Beauvoir. You have everything you need nearby: Tesco, organic supermarket Cif-Ci, corner stores, number of delis and cafes (KHP, Miro, De Beauvoir Deli, Weino Bib), and fantastic pubs for food and drink (Duke of Wellington, Scolt's Head, Hunter S, De Beauvoir Arms, Talbot). There are two primary schools near the building, so there may be some noise during the weekdays.

I'm the landlord, and I've been living here with my partner Mark and another couple we met through Spare Room; Matt and Hannah - more about them below. Mark and I have a new job opportunity in Berlin and will be moving there in November, so we are renting out the extra room in our flat. We are looking for a trustworthy, friendly individual/couple to rent the room.

We’re both easygoing, friendly people who (used to) enjoy going to galleries, shows, restaurants and generally exploring the city. These days we’re managing the Covid restrictions as best we can with a healthy mix of quiet time and social house activities (cooking, movies, etc.). We love Drag Race, the Sopranos, perfecting a homemade hummus recipe, playing video games (Matt), thrift shopping & questionable pottery projects (Hannah)."

Our move-in date is flexible, but the earliest we can do is around 20th of November.
