The room

Relaxed flat in a great location with good people. Not gonna lie, the room is small! It fits a double bed (but it's furnished with a single currently) and has a desk and storage. The house is a 3-bedroom flat above a shop on Kingsland Road. Plenty of character, but there's not a lot of communal space - there's a kitchen with dining area, large outside terrace area, bathroom (with a bath), but no living room.

The location is excellent, right on Kingsland Road with easy access to shops, bars, restaurants, parks. The area was buzzing pre-Covid, and is steadily bouncing back. Transport is great - there's a bus stop outside and the Overground is a 5 min walk (Haggerston or Dalston Junction). London Fields is a 10 min walk away, Stoke Newington 15 mins, Shoreditch 20 mins.

Current flatmates are a Brit and a Kiwi in their mid 20s / early 30s, working as a cycle courier / in law. Definitely good sorts and always keen for an interesting conversation.

Suits someone of a similar age, sociable but with their own thing going on. Due to the size of the flat and lack of a living room, it's not a great place for parties, so we tend to go out rather than host (when it's permitted anyway).

Currently we are both working from home. As the photos show, it is a small flat, so would be best for someone who wants a quiet and relaxed place to live. It's ideal for someone who wants a cheap place with nice people and who doesn't mind sacrificing a little bit of comfort.
