As our lovely housemate Ottilie is moving in with her boyfriend we are looking for a new equally lovely housemate to join us in our amazing house on Denmark Hill from the 1st of Oct (or soon as possible after).

About the house and the room

Our two-floor terrace house is located in a private estate on a quiet street just off Denmark Hill. On the first floor we have a toilet and a large, combined kitchen and dining room with a kitchen island and a massive stove. If you're a foodie and/or love to cook, you're in for a treat. We also have one bedroom on the first floor.

On the second floor we have three more bedrooms, as well as a bathroom with a bath and separate shower. The house has ample storage space in the attic, as well as in our garage, and we have access to two shared gardens on either side of the house.

The available room is on the second floor. It is a good sized double room with built in cupboards. The room comes unfurnished however the furniture could be bought for a reasonable price.

We're less than a 2 minutes' walk from a massive Sainsbury's and 10 minutes' walk from Denmark Hill station which is on the Overground and Thameslink to Kings Cross. We’re also a 10 minutes walk from East Dulwich station which has connections to London Bridge.

About the people

We're three boys and one girl in our mid/late twenties/early thirties. (One boy and the girl are a couple).

Corry works in art book publishing, and enjoys cooking up a storm on our spectacular stove.
Michael is an English teacher interested in literature, art, queer theory.
Will is an architect, enjoys a surf or two and hopes that you will join him to chat over late night dinners after 9pm.
Rob is a painter/works in a tennis club, who recently moved to London.

We live the standard London-life with long work hours and busy social schedules, but we're keen on making a home together, and hope that you are too. We envisage a home where all the basics are shared, including the chores and basic food stuffs, and where we make time to have dinner together every fortnight or so, and catch up with each other over the odd bottle of wine.

It's important for us that we're not just 5 people sharing a roof, and we're genuinely interested in living communally .

The practicalities

The rent for the room is £530 excluding bills, Council Tax, utilities, internet and a cleaner who comes every fortnight.

The landlords (who are amazing) require a reference check, which costs £75 per person.

We're hosting an Open House on Wednesday 18 September from 7-9 PM where anyone is welcome to come and see the house. After the Open House, anyone still interested in joining our little London team can let us know, and we'll organise chats early the following week.

Move-in date would be the 1st Oct.
