Hey all!
I’m looking for a flatmate to take over a double bedroom with a large private bathroom in a very nice 2 bed flat in Deptford. My current flatmate is buying a house and sadly moving out.
The flat is fairly new and well-maintained. It has an open-plan, spacious kitchen and living room with tons of natural light.
There’s a balcony, dishwasher, washing machine, freshly painted walls and a lift. The living room has some plants and posters, and you’re welcome to bring your own touch to the space too 😇
Some of the furniture is moving away together with my flatmate (the desk and shelves in the bedroom + the big TV and shelves in the living room).
Your room comes with a wardrobe, a double bed (with storage underneath) and a mattress. There's enough space to fit a desk, some storage and a clothing rack.
🚗 LOCATION 🚗
The location is really nice: right on top of Deptford High Street with killer Vietnamese food, speciality coffee and cute restaurants and bars.
Also a 15-minute walk to Greenwich Park with some nice food spots, cafes and museums. It’s a great, creative neighbourhood with art fairs and markets happening regularly.
Transport:
6 minute walk to Deptford (trains - 7 minute journey to London Bridge!)
12 minutes to New Cross (trains + Overground)
18 minutes to Deptford Bridge (DLR)
+ lots of buses (bus stop literally in front of the building)
4 minute walk to the much-beloved Dog and Bell pub (seriously probably the best pub in London, quote me on this)
💰 TIMINGS + MONEY 💰
The move-in date is the 5th of June (slightly flexible). You would be taking over my flatmate's contract, which ends on the 4th of August 2026 (14 months).
The room is £925pm + bills (£150-180 all in, depending on energy usage).
Council Tax is Band B (Lewisham).
The security deposit should be around £1100. The contract is through Keatons.
👯♀️ WHO AM I AND WHO AM I LOOKING FOR? 👯♀️
About me:
I’m a graphic designer working in advertising who loves independent magazines, reading and cinema. I run, climb, and have a big love for plants and nature. I also appreciate a good techno rave once in a while (but I am definitely not a big party person, I need my 8 hours of sleep).
I’m definitely down for a pub trip, watching some trash TV together and hosting a dinner party (anyone?), but I also keep to myself and appreciate my alone time. My job gets busy sometimes and I enjoy a quiet space to relax.
I work from home two days a week and am ideally looking for a professional with a similar hybrid schedule.
About you:
I’m looking for a clean (!) and organised flatmate. Also someone respectful of privacy and personal space who’s going to join me in creating a peaceful, tidy and cosy space (plus watching trash TV, obviously).
Keeping the communal space tidy is very important and a must for me, and I would like to live with a person who’s on the same page. So no leaving dirty dishes out, cleaning the flat together every week/fortnight, and things like that.
Unfortunately, I am not looking for: students (council tax reasons), couples, people who party a lot, and people who work fully remotely.
Female and non-binary candidates are preferred :)
Since it’s a 2-bed flat, I want to make this flat a joyful and peaceful space where we can both feel cosy. Don’t hesitate to message if you have any questions x
If all that sounds good to you, drop me a message with a bit about yourself, let’s chat and have a viewing x
