Our housemate Lenny is moving in with his girlfriend. Alas, a familiar SpareRoom tale, but it does mean that we are on the lookout for a wonderful new housemate!
You would be joining two of us, myself, Harry (32), and Bridget (26), who really enjoy living in what is a beautiful maisonette situated in a quiet cul-de-sac.
Bridget works in education and I work in a PR agency in Central London but am predominantly working from home for the time being.
We're calm, friendly and acknowledge that this is not a party house as we appreciate the quiet and safe street that we live on. We do socialise, but tend not to have people over all too frequently, especially during these COVID-19 times.
Your bedroom is cosy and snug. It's not a huge room - some might go as far as saying it's on the smaller side - but it fits a double bed and there's plenty of storage space. At £500 p/m (bills not included), it's an almost mythic room for East Finchley and such a lovely area. The room is unfurnished but Lenny is very happy to sell the pictured items at a very reasonable price.
We have a private garden and feel very safe here.
The property has high ceilings, is bright and clean throughout, and comes with an airy open-plan-kitchen-diner. You would just be sharing the bathroom with Bridget as my room has an ensuite.
The new tenancy starts on the 15th February, but there may be scope to move in earlier. The company that manages the property will need to run through the usual checks to ensure you're good to go.
This is home and we are looking for someone who wants that too. Perhaps, like us, maybe you don't feel you will be house sharing for years longer but want a friendly, calm experience to go out with :)
We share our crockery, glasswear, kitchen utensils etc, which you are welcome to use.
Bills are paid monthly where I request the amount to be paid through the PayPal app. Rates are estimated below and may fluctuate.
BT Broadband: £13.33 (per person)
EON electricity and gas: £10-£35 (per person) - depends completely on usage.
Council tax: £72 (per person)
Water: £11.03 (per person)
Our little pocket of East Finchley is great. We’re close to Hampstead Heath, Highgate Wood, Margots bakery, the world’s best corner shop, Sparks … we’ve got it all!
