Affordable accommodation offered in FINCHLEY – N2 area, excellent opportunity for a Female preferred Homesharers are looking to live in a lovely home.

We are a Not-for-Profit charity in London who run a Homeshare programme, where we find Homesharers who are willing to provide approximately 10 hours a week of help, support and companionship to a householder who has a spare room.

TRANSPORT
The nearest bus stop is 5 minutes’ walk
The nearest Tube Station is a 13-minute walk, East Finchley is a London Underground station in the London Borough of Barnet, north London.
The station is on the High Barnet branch of the Northern line, between Highgate and Finchley Central stations, and is in Travel card Zone 3.
There are many shops/supermarkets nearby, cafés, restaurants, pubs and bars are also within easy walking distance. Cold Fall Woods is also very nearby for walks.

HOUSEHOLDER
A lovely male in his 90’s and still very independent, he was born in Venice, Italy, he is Jewish, and he lived through the war. He came to London in 1954, he has 3 sons and 8 grandchildren who visit him occasionally. He had always worked in the Hospitality Sector (hotels, restaurants, hotel management & booking sector).

He spends time during the day watching TV (he watches Italian TV and he likes watching the news, old English comedies). He enjoys playing the card game solitaire on his iPad, he also enjoys and loves Opera as well as singing.

He would welcome a friendly Homesharer who can offer support with some companionship/cleaning tidying up and ironing and the added assurance of having someone at home at night. He does wear hearing aids but you still have to speak fairly loud so that he can hear you.

ACCOMMODATION
A spacious 5 bed house over 3 floors, convenient location of East Finchley.
For the homesharer there is a large bedroom in the loft conversion, with lovely, south-facing views from the window. A double bed with built-in wardrobes offer plenty of storage space, bedside table, TV, and you would have your own en-suite bathroom (bath tub/shower) There is a shared, fully equipped kitchen, living room.
A nice big garden
There is a parking space available on the drive and a garage which is empty.

BT high speed internet will be available

The room is available immediately subject to DBS and Reference checks and after an initial meeting has been organised.
