My girlfriend and I are looking for a responsible and tidy roommate to take over a second room in a wonderful two-bedroom apartment in East Village by September 16th 2021! Sadly, our roommate left because she wanted to move back to Kings Cross to be closer to her work, but we are very excited to live with another nice person.

Your name would also be on the contract, which means that you would need to pass the background check with Get Living (the housing company that manages the flats at East Village) Your rent will be 1,000£ + utilities which would get divided by three once my girlfriend is back in London. The bills come to a maximum of 258£ during winter months and to a minimum of 204£ during spring and summer. This means that, before my gf arrives, we would divide the bills by half, when she is back, we will split the bills in three. I have not payed more than 128£ per month on bills since I started living here. So your rent and bills would can be to a maximum of 1,128£, if we are not in winter months the price would be cheaper.

The flat is located in East Village, which was built for the Olympics in 2012. The Olympic park is just 2 blocks away and has cool places you can jog, and go for a picknick. There are many local shops as well as different options to do groceries. The West Field shopping mall is just minutes away if you are into shopping. Transport is also very good, Stratford International and the DLR are just a 5-minute walk. Stratford station is about a 10–15-minute walk and it takes 25 minutes to reach the city centre with the Central line or Jubilee line. There are also tons of buses all around. So all in all, the location is very convenient.

The flat is located on the 5th floor and its full of direct light during the whole day, which is also very nice during winter months. The flat has a cool and large balcony, a big living room and a big and comfortable kitchen to cook in. The fridge is very spacious and there is also a good amount of storage space in the kitchen. The room is very big, comes with a very good and spacious closet and a very comfortable bed. You will have your own bathroom which is the biggest and the prettiest one in the house! Unfortunately the desk and chair that you see on the pictures will not come with the room, because they belonged to our previous flatmate.

You are more than welcome to bring your own kitchen appliances, but we are more that happy to share some of ours.

Maria and I are from Colombia. Maria is 31 years old and is currently finishing her master’s in clinical psychology. She is very sweet, kind and friendly. She is also very understanding and caring of others and has an amazing capacity to make friends very quickly. Maria has also travelled to many other countries and has lived abroad for nine years. I am 29 years old, and I work as a Software Engineer in London. I am very friendly and open-minded person and very inclusive and respectful of others. Like Maria, I have also lived abroad since 2016 and have been in London for two years now. Maria and I are very tidy and organized with the shared spaces because we really like to have a clean and nice home. For this reason, we would really appreciate if you shared the same mentality. We enjoy cooking a lot at home so you would probably also be invited to join us if you like (:

You will live only with me until November, when my girlfriend is back from Colombia. Also, we are currently not in London, but you are more than welcome to see flat, I can arrange with the girl that is currently subletting Maria and my room.

The whole building is managed by a very good housing company called Get Living. If you are interested in the flat, you would then need to pass their background check, and after that, your name will be on the contract, and you would be ready to move in!
