Double room in a bright flat near London Fields

The double bedroom

A big double bedroom has become available as my flatmate Janis is moving in with his girlfriend.

The flat is on the top floor (4th floor - there is an elevator) and it is very light, with two balconies with amazing views, ideal for morning breakfast with the sun coming up and an in the evening watching the sunset with a cold beer or a glass of wine.

The flat consists of two bedrooms, a shared bathroom and a big open plan kitchen/living room with plenty of space to entertain. The room I will be renting out is the biggest double bedroom and it is furnished with a double bed, a wardrobe and a chest of drawers.

The flat is located on a quiet street close to Mayer street, with 5 mins walk to Victoria Park and cosy Haggerston Village and 5 mins walk to London Fields, Broadway Market and all the cool bars and great restaurants for dining.

There are plenty of transport opportunities to the City and Canary Wharf, with buses, the overground and the tube from Bethnal Green.

About me; I am in my late 30s and have been renting the flat for four years and absolutely love the area. I am originally from Copenhagen but have been living in London for over 10 years. I work in the charity sector, I am passionate about volunteering, love cooking and having people over for dinner. I still enjoy exploring new parts of London; love live music (jazz, soul and blues) and taking part in various MeetUp activities.

I am very easy going but like the flat to be tidy, as having a nice place to come home to is important to me. I am looking for a flatmate who wants to live in a place that is homely, someone to share a glass of wine with at the end of a busy day or binge watch Netflix on a Sunday, but without living in each other’s pockets. I have a busy social life and also travel a lot, so you will sometimes have the flat all to yourself.

If you cycle like me, you can store your bike securely on the ground floor under the staircase.
