Hi there,

We’re looking for a new housemate to join us in a spacious, bright, fully furnished 4-bedroom flat in Herne Hill.

We’re three friendly, easy-going 28-30 year olds who met here on spare room recently and are looking for a fourth person to complete our friendly flat :)

Location

Opposite Station Square, near all the great cafes, pubs, bars and breweries of Herne Hill and the lovely farmers market on Sundays.

Brockwell Park's 2 mins away - perfect for running, swimming, festivals, picnics, etc. and Dulwich Park is a short walk too. Tesco and Sainsbury's are just a few doors down so it's a pretty nice set-up for covid times.

Brixton's a 15 min walk, 2 min train, or short bus ride so it's easy to get to Brixton Market, Ritzy Cinema, Pop Brixton, etc.

Herne Hill station (zone 2) is across the road, going to London Victoria through Brixton (in 2 mins) or Blackfriars/Farringdon (10-15 mins) on Thameslink.

The Flat

It's a spacious split-level flat in a lovely Victorian house, which is spacious, characterful, and bright. It has high ceilings and period features with four double bedrooms as well as shower room, bathroom (also with shower), kitchen/dining room and big comfy living room. There's also a big loft for storage.

The flat's owned by my parents (who live outside London). Jon & Penny are kind, easy-going landlords, but effective at dealing with any repairs/issues.


The Room
Room 3 is a double bedroom on the 2rd floor at the back of the house (with views over the gardens and cute mews houses behind). It comes fully furnished as well with bed & mattress, double wardrobe, vintage chests of drawers with dressing table mirror, lamp, bedside table, etc. As an added bonus there's a sink and mirror too but there isn't really space for a desk in this one so Amelia's been working in the lounge recently.

Flatmates

I'm James, a professionals working in zone 1 near Blackfriars, which is really easy to get to from HH, although not in the office much atm. Over the past 4 years the flat's been a brilliant place to live and I've been lucky enough to make some great friends through spareroom too.

Hannah and Hawker are new to South London - moving from Oregon and West London respectively - and enjoying getting to know Herne Hill :)

It's a pretty easy-going house so if you're tidy but also laid-back and keen to find a sociable but chill place to call home, you’ll fit right in!

Rent & Bills

Rent is £750pcm.

Bills are separate and come to £90pcm, including everything (council tax; electricity, gas & water; fast wifi; TV with iPlayer, Netflix; loo roll, washing up liquid, etc.).
