Hello!

We have a huge, South-facing room available in a quiet residential road moments from Highbury Fields. Move in around 25th October with some flexibility.

We're looking for long-term housemate for a 5-bedroom house sharing with 4 amazing professional women in their mid-20s to mid-30s.

The Room:

The room is about 20sqm with a huge bay window and a further side window. It gets morning sun and stays light late into the afternoon.

It's huge! It currently houses a double bed, two wardrobes, a dresser, a desk, a lounge chair, two bookshelves and four chests of drawers. Don't worry if you're a minimalist, most of the furniture belongs to me!

The room comes with a double bed, wardrobe, dresser and bedside table with plenty of room for you to make it your own. There's a desk in the shed that can be yours and I'm happy to sell my Ikea Pax wardrobe if you'd like it (it's 1m wide, 2.3m high, comes with a shelf for storage, two tiers of rail and a pull-out shoe drawer). There will also be a brand new mattress or you're welcome to bring your own!

The House:

The house is a 5-bedroom Victorian house located on a residential street just off Holloway Road - all shops, amenities, and restaurants are just around the corner but it’s still very quiet.

It's a 5-10 minute walk to both Highbury and Islington Station (Victoria line, WAGN rail and London Overground) and Holloway Road Station (Piccadilly line), and is served by buses 19, 43, 271, 277, 393, 4, 30.

The ground floor has a spacious lounge at the front of the house. At the back of the house is a kitchen-dining room with a huge dining table (also a dishwasher, washing machine, gas hob, and oven). There's a big garden with a BBQ, table and chairs, a shed, and plenty of plant life. There is a bathroom with toilet & bath/shower, a second separate toilet, and a second separate shower. There are also a lot of random opportunities for storage around the house (cupboards under the stairs, cupboards by the kitchen, cupboards and attic space in the top of the house.)

About the Housemates:

We’re Audrey, French, working in tourism; Awatef, a Spanish-Moroccan HR professional; Clemence, French working in cultural diplomacy; and Nicole, a Canadian working in advertising,

The house share has been going in various forms over the last 9 years. We all enjoy spending time together but we do have our own friend groups and do things independently - though if we haven’t touched base in a while we make up for it with brunch at the delicious bakery Le Peche Mignon (which is nearly on our corner!) or dinner or drinks or random kitchen encounters.

Audrey is French and recently relocated to London from Madrid. She works in tourism, loves encountering new cultures. travelling, bakes to unwind (lucky house!) and enjoys dancing to electroswing.

Clemence is French, works in cultural diplomacy. She has been in London for 5 years and before then has lived in Beirut, Toronto and New York. She is obsessed with theatre, cinema and music, sees a lot of shows, is into the cabaret scene and plays the clarinet and flute (badly!)

Awatef is a Spaniard with Arab roots who just relocated to London a few month ago. She works for the spirits industry, comes from a big family, many of whom are in London, is a travel addict, curious about all the delights of London and always up for a deep conversation or a laugh.

Nicole is a Canadian who relocated to London a few years of living in Tokyo. She's a Burner, loves crafts, reading, live music, weekend trips and always keen to grab a pint.

About you:

We're looking for someone who wants to make the house a home, who has their own friends but who is happy to get involved with us either exploring the myriad delights London has to offer or lounging at home, enjoying random films, and sharing life's triumphs and woes..
