Double room available in very large, shared house in centre of Highbury. Very reasonable rent for this area!

The House:
The property is a beautiful, four-storey Victorian house with fireplaces (not operational) in every room and high ceilings throughout.
There are 6 double rooms in total.
There's a living room on the ground floor and a large kitchen/diner with access to an outdoor patio area (ideal for summer parties and BBQs).

The Room:
The room is a smallish double and bright with high ceilings and big window.
It comes furnished with double bed, wardrobe, office chair & bedside table.
There is a fireplace with a useful mantelpiece/shelf.

Transport links:
5mins walk to Arsenal tube (piccadilly line), 15mins to Highbury and Islington underground (Victoria line) & overground and 10mins to Finsbury Park (Victoria and Piccadilly) & overground.
2min walk to stop for the 19 bus (goes diagonally through the centre of London, via piccadilly circus) and the 4 bus (goes through the city to Waterloo via the Barbican and St. Paul's).

The Area:
The location is ideal for anyone who enjoys having really easy, fast access to the centre of London but also with the benefits of a small town community feel.

Highbury Barn, Upper street (Angel) and Church street (Stoke Newington) are all within a 5-15min walk and have THE BEST selection of independent shops, boutiques, cafes, restaurants and bars.

You only have to step outside the front door for a great selection of mouth-watering brunching spots!

Also 5-10min walk to beautiful Highbury fields and Clissold Park for walking/running and lazy summer weekends.

The Housemates:
There are currently five other very friendly housemates - all professionals working in academia, education, law and tech. 4 of us are from the UK and one from Greece.
We are currently 4 girls and 2 guys.
Whilst we're a sociable bunch and get on famously, everyone has busy lives outside of the house and respects each others' privacy so it never feels too crowded.
I have stayed at the house for almost two years and will be very sad to leave.

Rent and other details:
£550pm covers rent, council tax and internet. Bills (water, gas, elec) are additional - all calculated by the landlady and average out to about £50-60 a month.
The landlady is always attentive whenever required and she cleans the house weekly (during the week). Pretty great deal and nice not to have to deal with estate agents!
I will be moving out by the beginning of October but could move from mid September if that suits you better. Sorry no short term lets.
