Hello! One of my housemates is moving out and so we're looking to fill the third room in our two-floor Islington flat.
It's a really nice, spacious flat with a beautiful garden, set in an incredible location (could scarcely get any better, sandwiched between Central London and East London - ideal for work & going out)
THE DEETS
Rent: £1,200 not including bills
Bills: Usually around £100 including electricity, water, wifi, council tax and a monthly cleaner
Deposit: 5 weeks rent held with the Deposit Protection Service (DPS)
Move in date: 13th April (with some flexibility).
THE FLAT
A bright, split-level, ground floor garden flat with a separate kitchen, comfy lounge, 1.5 bathrooms and a solid amount of storage space. All three bedrooms are located upstairs on the first floor alongside a full bathroom with a bathtub. There is also a sizeable, grassy back garden that’s great for sunbathing in between work calls and hosting bbqs during the warmer months. The garden is very secure so is also a good place to store a bike if that’s needed.
LOCATION
The flat is situated on a very leafy street under 10 mins walk from Highbury & Islington Station (Victoria Line), & right near Canonbury Overground Station (3 mins walk). There's also plenty of local buses. It’s in a real sweet spot with Highbury Fields, Clissold Park, Newington Green and Upper Street all a 10/15-minute walk away.
THE ROOM
Really sizeable* double room that gets nice afternoon light through 2 big windows and comes furnished with a wardrobe, a chest of drawers, a nightstand (or two) and a bed. Lots of room for a desk as well as a yoga spot, reading nook, art studio or whatever suits your fancy. Ideal for working from home.
*Please see video for an idea of size, as the photos don't show the size of the whole room!!
THE FLATMATES
You'll be living with Chris, a 34 year old psychotherapist & translator (speaks French, Spanish & some Italian too), and Mischa, a 37 year old Aussie Child & Adolescent Psychotherapist working for the NHS. We're both laid-back, friendly, open-minded people and are looking for someone who's chill, friendly, similar age range (roughly), who would make a nice household where we occasionally cook together as well as doing our own things. We're both into psychology/philosophy (needless to say..), music, reading, films, climbing, comedy etc. (all the usual things).
THE LANDLADY
Our Landlady is very quick to respond to any issues in the flat and we've never had an issue with her.
VIEWINGS
We'll hopefully look to hold viewings ASAP over the next week or so, so please message Chris (& Mischa) with a bit about yourself, what you're looking for in a house-share and if you've got any further questions for us! Then we can schedule some viewings!
Thanks!!
Chris :)
