As we move into a new year and decade, I'm going to be on the road again a lot more in 2020, touring with my band, hitting up NYC again this summer, and doing a few little adventures with friends and family who are coming through. I'm excited!
To that end, I have a beautiful little home in South London that I'd like to open up to a casual / part-time housemate. Are you someone who needs to be in London a few days each month for work, who would rather have a little home away from home to land in, than a soulless, generic hotel?
The price listed is for 5 nights per month, at £50 per night, all inclusive. They don't necessarily have to be mon-fri nights, and they don't always have to be the same nights. Just a week's warning of when you're coming is required, please.
Terms are flexible and negotiable for the right person, but I'm basically looking for someone who needs a bedroom in London a few days each month. You will have a little bit of storage in the bedroom and the kitchen, fresh sheets and towels upon arrival, use of the bedroom, kitchen and bathroom, and an off street car-park if you need it.
I'm a ten minute walk to Hither Green station, that will have you in London Bridge / Waterloo / Charing Cross in 10-20 minutes. Also a 15 minute walk to Lewisham Station if you need the DLR or lots more train / bus options, and a 10-20 minute bus ride to New Cross / New Cross Gate, for the orange overground if that's your bag.
We're just around the corner from a REALLY nice little park and the neighbourhood itself is lovely too. Wine, coffee, groceries, good chips, cute local pubs, new stonebaked pizza joint, lots of good options on Just Eat. Green and friendly.
Often I will be here too (but the bedroom will be yours, don't worry!) and sometimes my dog will be here as well - so you need to be ok with dogs. He is a truly spectacular doggo and will want to be your best mate. At this point, I'm only in a position to have one person staying at a time, but when I'm away for longer stretches later in the year, that might be up for negotiation.
I've got a vitamix if you like smoothies, an aeropress if you like coffee, pretty much all the bits and pieces you need for a comfy cosy little part-time nest. Gas cooking, rain-shower, nice bath, essential oils and palo santo, unlimited wifi, memory foam mattress, washing machine, dishwasher and, if you're looking to live life a little greener in 2020, we compost, recycle, use bamboo loo roll from Who Gives A Crap and our energy is supplied by Ecotricity.
Please note that while omnivores are welcome, this is a meat, fish and dairy-free home. I promise to help get you hooked on plant-based goodies (I like to bake, and I'm a big foodie, so very fussy on what vegan options I consider to be worthwhile!) but HEY, what a nice little bonus resolution for you to take into the new year!
