I'm looking for a housemate to occupy the spare room in my spacious 2 bedroom house.
The double room comes furnished with a bed and lots of built in wardrobe space, but has more than enough space for additional furniture (for example a desk for working at home). The room gets a nice amount of light and has loads of decorative potential.
The house itself is a large semi-detached house with 3 bedrooms (with the 3rd room I’m not looking for a tenant but could be used as extra home-office space or a temporary guest bedroom). There are two toilets, one bathroom, a loft for storage, a utility room, a spacious kitchen and dining room which opens into the living room, and then can continue into the studio if the doors are open. It’s a very mailable space and I’m in the process of redecorating so happy to take input. There’s enough space for someone to store their bike, or take a workout class or I dunno, whatever you’re into.
There’s also a very long South-facing garden which SLAPS when the sun is shining, but even when it’s not can be great to step into some fresh air and nature.
What else… TV’s got Netflix and Amazon Prime subscriptions and OH I GOT A PRINTER TOO. If that’s important. Working printers can be hard to come by.
Me, I’m a 28 y/o User Experience Designer from South East London, so I know these ends. I’m big into music, spending most of my time in my studio/office room, which you’re welcome to use to play the instruments (piano, guitar, bass etc). I also enjoy other creative pursuits like dance, art, theatre, film, plus playing video games. If you haven’t guessed already my views are quite liberal and I’m a pretty focussed and productive type of person but also friendly and empathetic. These days I’m working from home.
The local area is relatively chill and there are great locations nearby like Blackheath, Greenwich Park, roughly 20 mins walk away, or 10 by bike. There’s a Co-op about 5 minutes down the road, and a big Sainsbury’s 15 minutes’ walk further down the same road. There are a few cheeky pubs and bars nearby that I’d be happy to go to with you.
In terms of transport, the house is a 10 min walk to Lee Station, which will take you to London Bridge in 12 mins, and Charing Cross in less than 25 mins. Depending on where else you’re going, Lewisham, Catford, Eltham and Bromley are a short bus ride away.
The room is available from Mid-April, with a minimum term of 6 months, at a cost of £800 per month including bills.
Happy to do zoom calls and video tours upon request.
Lemme know if you’re interested!
