Grown-up house share in fun and beautiful house

Come live with us! Spacious double room available in our wonderful household of four people.

One of our housemates is sadly (for us) and excitingly (for them) moving into a house of their own so we’re looking for a lovely new addition to our home.

The house
Plenty spacious enough for us all to live and socialise with a large living room, eat-in kitchen and conservatory.

Each housemate has a decent-sized bedroom and there is a full bathroom and a separate toilet, separate utility room and a shed with space for a bike each.

The house is cosy in winter - with a real fireplace, comfy sofas and dining tables in the kitchen and conservatory....and it’s awesome in summer with a spacious garden which wraps around the (end-of-terrace) house, two barbecues, outdoor corner sofa, tables and hammock and hanging chair. Owner occupied so well looked after.

The house and garden are great for hosting - for (occasional, planned) house parties (it's not unlikely that you've been to one 🙃) and for lots of barbecues, dinners and random gatherings and festivities throughout the year. We do want to maintain a good balance between a relaxed home and sanctuary and a sociable place - so we let each other know when we're hosting.... and this isn't the place (any more) for impromptu afterparties.

The housemates
Three housemates – Harriet (owner - 40, landlord, psychotherapy student & volunteer), Juju (42, dating app founder) and Nathan (51, tweed tailor) – all with energetic schedules of socialising - particularly within the burner and alternative communities as well as travel, sport, culture, restaurants, gigs, theatre etc.

We have two much adored cats! - Oscar and Bella - so we're after an animal lover :)

We often share dinners and co-host our friends for drinks, dinners and summer barbecues whenever the weather obliges, so it would be great if you're keen to share in some of that, and there’s plenty of opportunity for each person to have their own space too.

The room
The room available is at the back on the first floor, overlooking the garden. It is recently renovated and equipped with a double bed, large built-in wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside table, desk and ergonomic office chair. Desk can be stored in the loft if you have your own Extra storage space is available in the lofts too if you need it.

Location
Great transport links! 26 minutes from house to Oxford Circus via the super-speedy, all-night Victoria line from Blackhorse Road (8 minutes’ walk away)
18 minutes from house to Liverpool St via the Overground train from St James Street station (3 minutes’ away)
It’s also great for cycling, and it’s a surprisingly scenic and peaceful ride South across the marshes and along the canals.
We have THE BEST local supermarket for fresh and cheap food plus Lidl 3 minutes away, Tesco 4 minutes away and a huge Sainsburys 5 minutes away.

The St James St area of Walthamstow where we're based is transforming rapidly and we recently got our own Crate and Truman’s breweries, the Blackhorse Beer Mile, God's Own Junkyard and the restaurants and bars of Walthamstow Village and Hoe Street are a brief bike ride away too.

Looking for
One more housemate who is easy-going, sociable and open-minded, but also sufficiently house-trained, tidy and considerate. We're looking for a guy for an even the gender balance.

Tenancy:
Rent is £825 and very comprehensive -it includes all the obvious stuff, Prime, Netflix, weekly cleaner, superfast broadband, all the cleaning products.... loo roll, kitchen roll, clingfilm, tin foil, olive oil, salt, pepper.....the obvious home stuff.
Deposit is £700.

Short term until Jan or Feb welcome too.
