My current lodger is heading out of London, so I am looking for a responsible person (also open to couples) to live in my gorgeous furnished flat while I am away until end June. You will be renting just the second bedroom and bathroom, my room will be locked (storage!), but you will have the entire flat to yourself as I am staying with family. It will still have my books / art etc in the common spaces! But that means you get a fully equipped and move in ready lovely apartment as a lodger as normal, but with complete privacy and sole use of the place :)

📌The space:

The light and airy bedroom has a comfy king-size bed, armchair and plenty of built in storage space, as well as a nice desk and chair, and a 42” TV. The bathroom is good sized with a bath/shower etc, and properly done up. There is also a separate sunny study area next door to the bedroom with a desk looking out a big window, chair and bookshelves, so it’s well set up for two people working full time from home if need be, or with different areas to use for one person if you get bored! Very fast and reliable WiFi.

The rest of the flat is really spacious too and has been furnished with care - both style and comfort in mind. It has an open plan living space with a large 6-8 seater dining table, a big comfy sofa and armchairs around a space for relaxing or watching movies on the integrated pull-down cinema screen. There is also space to exercise (during lockdown I had two yoga mats, a turbo trainer for my bike and a punch bag all in there), and a library area (my books etc will all still be there), with floor to ceiling windows all along the space looking out across the two balconies, city and the next canal basin over. The kitchen opens out from it and has everything you need, including dishwasher, microwave, all cooking equipment, and great views too.

Two big south facing balconies with amazing views - one has lovely plants and a sofa / dining table, the other has good storage space for bikes etc and plant troughs for my kitchen garden.

The entire flat is super quiet - you can’t hear traffic and wouldn’t know you are in central London.

📌The development:

The development is directly on the canal basin with pretty and quiet communal gardens along the tree-lined water, and feels like a little oasis. The building also has a lovely big communal roof terrace with 360 views of the city (sometimes this is locked).

It has 24hour security, including a night time patrol.

📌Location:

It’s on a quiet side street between Islington and shoreditch, with lovely walks nearby. 2 minutes stroll from the main Regent’s Canal path. There is a nice local park just round the corner and it is less than 10 minutes walk from Shoreditch Park.

Super quick walk or cycle into the City and the rest of central London.

Lots of Santander bikes around. Buses at the end of the road, 7 minutes walk to Old St station.

3 minutes walk from the supermarket, and lots of local grocery and other shops within a quick walk too.

📌You:

I’m looking for someone responsible, respectful and clean and tidy - this is a family friendly, quiet and high end residential development with lovely neighbours. So if you’re looking for a party flat this won’t work I’m afraid! References essential.

£1500pcm including the council tax and water. The rest of the bills (hot water and heating, electricity and WiFi) are all set up and will be paid by you on top.

Sorry but no students, no smokers, and no pets.
