Double room by Arsenal/Finsbury Park

We've currently rearranged this space a bit so we can have a work from home station

My flatmate of three years is sadly moving home and so we are looking for someone to take her room in our two-bedroom flat. There is some flexibility with move-in but the room is available now. Bills come to about £100 per month (this includes council tax so it'll be less if you're a student).

The building is very new and secure, with an automatic lock at the main entrance. There's a lift so you don't have to worry about lugging heavy cases up many flights of stairs! Our neighbours mostly seem to be young professionals.

The room: We're on the third floor and the available bedroom faces a communal garden. We put up the shelves on the wall and by the closet, which could either stay or go as you please. No desk in the room unfortunately but if you wanted to you could probably fit a small one snugly, and we have a work-from-home space setup in the living room which we have been coordinating between ourselves to use. There is of course also the dining table, which is lovely to work on as it's right by the windows.

Ideal flatmate: Professionals or students welcome. Someone friendly, clean, non-smoker, preferably female. Ideally interested in a 1-year lease. I'm probably on the more cautious end of the COVID-response-spectrum and so would ideally like to live with someone who has a careful approach with the pandemic (washing hands as you get home, wearing a mask in closed public places, avoiding transport unless needed - to give you a sense of whether we would fit as flatmates or if it might drive you bit mad!)

Current flatmate: I'm a mental health professional with an international background and love having a clean and organised flat. I like to have a friendly flatmate to come home to and hang out with when we're both free, but definitely also enjoy quiet time on my own. I cook often and have a pretty routine lifestyle. Under non-COVID circumstances I might have a friend over occasionally. I always let my flatmate know ahead of time and invite them to join in if they would like

The area: we have loved it! There are many green spaces around, which we have been so grateful for through lockdown - Clissold Park, Finsbury Park, Highbury Fields and the West and East reservoirs are all 15 minutes or less away. There is a lovely family-run grocery shop right below our building for last minute needs, and Lidl and Sainsburys are 10 minutes away. Good transport links - we are 10 minutes walking distance to both Finsbury Park and Arsenal stations, and there are bus routes right by our building. Lots of coffee shops and restaurants (and chicken and chip shops - yay!) within walking distance.
