Mon-Fri Room in flat in Deptford/New Cross

Ad ref# 15897616 Mon-Fri ONLY

Hi!
We are looking for someone to stay a couple of nights a week. We can be quite flexible on days. We are very well connected with overground, DLR and national rail all within a 6 minute walk radius!

The room is smallish with a single bed, small wardrobe and desk. We’d be using it the rest of the time as an office space but obviously you’d have space for your belongings and we can provide locks if you’d prefer!

We’re Maddie, Josh and Alasdair. Myself and my partner Josh had been living with our friends (also a couple) for over a year but they decided to get a place of their own so the lovely Alasdair has moved in with us fairly recently.

Our flat is a two floor, 3 bed and currently the third room (yours!) is functioning as a spare/office space. We are keen not to have it occupied fully as it has been so nice to have the extra space with lockdown etc.
We have a shower with a separate toilet. To be honest, we will be ripping out and replacing the bathroom sometime soonish as it’s completely functional but a little sad and old but it’s been hard to get it sorted during covid!! We then have a living room with dining table and TV etc and kitchen plus lots of storage spaces and a little balcony.

I am a teacher, usually in a state secondary school but for the moment I’m on a sabbatical and am a homeschool tutor which means during the school year I’m abroad with the family I work for and only occasionally back at weekends and holidays etc. It depends a bit on covid! Josh has a history of charity homeless work and is about to start the second year of his public policy MA at Kings. He does that part time whilst working for an organisation which uses data to identify and support vulnerable individuals. He’ll mostly be wfh or at uni but over the last year we’ve often had four of us wfh and it’s worked out fine! Alasdair was a teacher in Scotland but is now completely a Masters at Goldsmiths.

We’re all pretty chilled, lefty, anti racist, LGBT friendly, eco etc and we eat vegan/veggie. Myself and Josh met volunteering in Calais at the refugee camp and we’ve lived with other people for the entirety of our relationship. We aren’t regular massive partiers but do like a social drink and having people over for dinner etc and we absolutely have an occasional late late night. We really like eating dinner all together when our schedules allow but also respect everyone needing their own space.

Our flat is about four mins walk from NC overground and we are also close to NR services and the DLR plus all the busses! It’s five mins on the train to London Bridge. We’ve managed to store five bikes in the flat (if very very untidily!) for the past year so if you had one of those that’s fine too.

A lot of info there but hopefully it gives a sense of us and our place a little bit. If you’re at all interested, feel free to ask any questions etc - we’re keen to get a good fit and someone who we will get along well with (and vice versa!).

P. S. About per week would depend on number of nights agreed!
