The living room

The house

We're renting an enormous room in a newly built sparkling 3 floor maisonette with 4 rooms, 3 bathrooms, an open plan kitchen with a spacious garden and a shared front mews with bike storage! We are looking for someone to rent the room for 1-3 months with the possibility of extending.

We are 3 flatmates, Steve, Hugo and Zeina, and we are the first tenants, so the house is immaculate.. Steve is a consultant and a DJ/events organiser, Hugo is an environmental designer and surfer, and Zeina is a transport planner and bicycle enthusiast. We like to cook, have a growing collection of herbs, and a nice sound system at home!

The room

The room is on the lower ground floor and is large, furnished with a double bed, large couch and coffee table, and still plenty of room for more furniture. It has a large skylight window with lots of natural light!

The area

The house is in a quiet but happening village like place in the heart of East London, and our neighbours are all lovely and friendly. There are lots of small shops around, an organic vegetable store right around the corner, coffee shops, pedestrian market streets near Hackney central, Hackney downs park and happening London fields and Cambridge heath with lots of chilled out places to hang out, have a drink. A nice art scene is around. There are many local markets and super markets for food and a huge 24 hour Tesco just an 8 minute walk from the house.

Hackney Central and Hackney downs stations are both a 10 minute walk from the house. There is a bus stop right outside the court, and lots of other bus stops within a 5 minute walk. The bicycle is the best way to get around, especially cycling along the canal.
