The flat is privately owned. The landlord is a family friend so communication is easy and quick, and he's lovely. It is located on Sewdley Street, a 30 second walk from pretty, leafy Millfields Park.

Your room comes semi-furnished with a bed, chest of drawers and shelving. As you can see, there's lots of room for a desk and/or more furniture. Your window overlooks a quiet street with friendly neighbours. The room also gets a lot of sun so is great for plants.

We have a cosy living room, with dining space for entertaining and a well-stocked, spice-rich kitchen.

Room available from the 6th November but exact move-in date flexible.

Rent: £700p/m
Deposit: one month's rent.
Bills plus monthly cleaner: ~£200p/m.

We're just off Chatsworth Road which is handy for supermarkets (including fancy SPAR), greengrocers, coffee shops, restaurants (P Franco, Krapow, My Neighbours the Dumplings, Men Noodle Bar, Leo's) and bougie shops. There's a market here on Sundays and a tonne of nice pubs within walking distance: The Elderfield and Chesham Arms are highlights. Yard Sale Pizza delivers here which is 100% worth including in this description.

We're a 2 minute walk to an entrance onto the River Lea canal. You can walk or cycle along here to Hackney Wick and Stratford.

Overground stations nearby are Homerton (12-14 min walk), Clapton (12 min walk), Hackney Central (18 min walk), and Hackney Downs (18 min walk).

I'm a film producer and work most days in an office elsewhere, occasionally at home. I’m very unimposing, have a pretty busy life but love lounging when the opportunity arises. Looking for a friendly housemate who I'd enjoy a drink with. I'm clean but not overbearing so hopefully you're quite similar. An interest in movies is a plus, as is a love of food, making it and eating it.

Our neighbour's cat is convinced the flat is his territory and comes through the window to hang out, but he can be easily kept away if you’re either allergic or just can’t stand cats.
