Small but beautiful room in flatshare

The room is cosy and warm. Decorated in a Japanese theme with dark wood and natural tones. A blackout blind sits behind the paper and oak shoji screens over the windows. Although it's the flat's smallest bedroom it still has a double bed and all the usual storage furniture.

Please remember this is a small room and there's no extra storage space in the flat. This is the main reason we're also open to a student, a short-term, or mon-fri let.

We are an alternative, queer-friendly household with plenty of love for life, but keep the partying out of the home (mostly) so the flat can be a calm and quiet retreat from things with creative professionals. We are a non-smoking household so smoking visitors have to go outside to one of the two balconies to smoke - but we do vape indoors. We seem to keep very separate schedules but share the lounge equally for socialising and TV.
Kitchen (which gets the morning sun) is currently having a makeover so is a bit unfinished but includes washing machine, microwave, large freezer, large larder fridge, and door to back balcony and rubbish shoot. Shared pots, pans and utensils. Only one food cupboard each.

The living room has a few too many plants in after some manic propagating during the covid lock downs, but it is spacious enough for yoga or to practice your dance moves! It gets the afternoon sun and a view of the sunset over Alexander Palace.
We have just changed the broadband from Virgin Media to CommunityFibre300 so fast and reliable WiFi. The living room also has a door to the front balcony which has a table and chairs and washing line.

Services give us double-entry security, rubbish shoot, recycling bins, maintained corridors, lift, etc. We are on the 5th floor and the flats here are detached so there are no shared walls with neighbours. The visitors car parking for the block requires daily parking permits at £4 for a book of 10.

We are five minutes from Manor House tube (Picadilly line zone 2) and ten minutes from Finsbury Park tube (Victoria line). This is the quiet part of Green Lanes (at the Stoke Newington / Clissold Park end of the road), 15 minutes walk to the cafes on Church Street (five minutes to Clissold Park).

Our block of flats overlooks 'The Castle' indoor climbing center, the Stoke Newington Reservoir sailing club, New River and the nature reserve making it feel quite rural and hardly the city at all.

Buses south from just outside the building are the 141 to London Bridge via Old Street, and the 341 to Waterloo via Angel and Holborn. Manor House also has good bus routes to the West End via Holloway, Camden and Euston, as well as East to Bethnal Green via Clapton and Hackney. Harringay Overland station is also a short walk away on Green Lanes.
