Hello future housemates!

Double room with private ensuite in a beautiful period property with garden. Located on a quiet no-through road in a very safe area which is fine to walk around if you are coming home late at night. It is a 5 min walk from all the independent shops and restaurants on Muswell Hill Broadway.

Our current flatmate is sadly moving to Wales, so we are looking to fill her room.

The room is available straight away. We would ideally like someone who could move in by mid October (or earlier! :)

The house
---------
Our house is an amazing period property with wood floors and features galore. It has a large sitting room with plenty of light, a separate dinning room with double doors out onto the patio, a well fitted kitchen with large American fridge freezer, microwave, dish washer and washing machine. It also has the perfect sized garden and patio for BBQs on a summer evening. Oh and a wine rack in the kitchen ;) Just saying!

Our house is on a no-through road in a very peaceful area. Perfect if you prefer to get woken up to bird song rather then traffic! It's our little peaceful haven in London. :)

We have a sofa bed in the living room if you have friends or family coming to stay over night.

We also have super fast fiber optic broadband with Virgin, (70M download speed), so all your streaming needs will be met!

The double ensuite room
-----------
The room is at the top of the house on a floor of its own. It is a lovely, quiet double room with plenty of storage and an ensuite with shower. It has a large window over looking our peaceful garden.

There will be two wardrobes left in the room, as well as the kingsized bed frame, but a mattress will need to be sourced. The bed frame has 4 draws in it for extra storage.

Transport
---------

The short version:
- 10 min bus to Turnpike Lane, then catch the Piccadilly which goes straight into Kings Cross in 10 mins
- 5 min bus to Highgate tube for the Northern Line
- 15 min bus to Finsbury Park (Victoria)
- 5 min bus to Alexandra Palace, then catch the Overground which goes straight into Mooregate in 20 mins
- Zone 3

The longer version:
You can take a short bus ride to Alexandra Palace Station from which regular overland trains take you into the city (Mooregate) in 20 mins. The trains also stop at Finsbury Park and Highbury and Islington on the way. (If it's a nice morning you might prefer to walk, it's a 15 min walk through the wonderfully green Alexandra Palace Park. You'll even get views of the entire city on the way!)

If you prefer the underground it's a 10 min bus ride direct from outside the house to Turnpike Lane station. There are also buses direct to Finsbury Park (for the Victoria Line) and Highgate station (for the Northern Line). You can also walk to Highgate Station in about 15 mins.

Shopping and going out
-----------

Muswell Hill is 5 min walk and crouch end is 15 min walk, both of which have a great selection of independent shops, cafes and restaurants. On Muswell Hill Broadway there is a small Waitrose, a larger Sainsburys, an Everyman Cinema and 3(!) health shops including Planet Organic. We also have a Bills restaurant and a number of independent cafes and restaurnats.

We are also spoilt for choice when it comes to parks, with Alexandra Palace just across the road, and Highgate Wood and Queens Wood less then a 10 min walk.

We are also on the old railway route, which is now a green walk stretching all the way from Finsbury Park to Alexandra Palace Park. Perfect for jogging.

Parking

Parking is available in the street on a first come first served, but it's never too busy. It's free as well.

As for your future housemates, well we are both very nice (OK we're probably biased!) Gel is in IT, Wallis is in music and Matt is an actor. We have our own busy lives but at the end of the day sometimes it's nice to crack open a bottle of wine and relax. We like to live in a house where people are respectful of each other and their property but also somewhere where that you can feel at home.
