Large double room in penthouse flat

The Room: large double room with a king size bed; large cupboard and two bedside tables; air conditioning (for the many challenging hot summer days!); blackout blind

The Flat: very large and bright flat with a big and lovely terrace (view, hammock and hot tub included!); 3 bedrooms and big living/dining/kitchen area; you will share the main bathroom with only 1 person

The Flatmates: me (36, gay, lawyer, landlord); Martin (36, gay, wig consultant)

Location: New Southgate in North London; a 3 minute walk to New Southgate (overground) for direct access to Finsbury Park (10mins), Highbury (15mins) [each with access to the Victoria line – we can be in Oxford Circus in 25 mins!]; 7 mins walk to Arnos Grove (Piccadilly line)

Move in: anytime after 6 December 2020

Cost: £900, including all bills and a cleaner for 4 hours a week (she will even clean your room and change your bedding!); no minimum term

Deposit and benefits: deposit flexible but not exceeding £900; benefit claimants are permissible

Accessibility: we are a top floor flat (4th); we have no specific accessibility measures; there is a lift (but if it breaks there are four flights of stairs)

YOU: we are looking for someone who will treat the flat in a respectful way and as their home; historically, all of the tenants have been friends and we have always had fun including some very tasty Sunday roasts and plenty of home-baked cakes; we would like someone clean and tidy and who will have a cup of tea and movie with us (of occasion); as with any common living, it would be nice to have someone who respects quiet when others are asleep (so if you’re aren’t a stomper– bonus!)
