Hi!
I am sadly leaving West London, therefore, some lucky person is going to get to rent my room!
The room itself is spacious, bright and airy. It comes with a a wardrobe, bedside table, a desk and chair.
I am selling my bed which is only 1 year old which cost me around £600. Wanting a nice easy move so selling for £100. It is a divan with 4 drawers and a super comfy mattress.
I will also be selling 2 pieces of furniture if the new tenant is interested in buying. One of those is the 3 drawer dresser (£10) and the other is a sturdy basket that I currently use for underwear at the top, and make up in the drawer (£10). 2nd picture shows these.
There is a lovely tree outside the bedroom window which offers privacy, and is just nice to look at instead of the houses across the street!
The house has:
Living room
Kitchen / diner
Laundry room (washer, dryer and airers)
We have a spacious private garden with seating area
Separate toilet
Bathroom with bath and shower
Bills are around £70 a month, plus water bill quarterly (usually around £30). Broadband and TV licence are covered in the rent.
I have lived here for 2 years and absolutely loved it. It is rare to find a house with a garden and a living room for a decent price.
You are around 12 minutes walk from the central line (East Acton Station), and around 15-20 minutes walk to Willesden Junction. There is a bus stop at the end of the street too, so the transport links are amazing.
If you drive you can get a parking permit from the council which is what I did.
The house is located in a nice cul-de-sac. Neighbours are all friendly and pre covid, would have a few get togethers throughout the year. You will be living on a nice, friendly, safe street.
The landlord, Margaret, is incredible. If anything needs to be fixed, she is on it! We recently had a new washing machine fitted and new electrical rewiring in the kitchen.
You will be living with 1 female, 2 males. Giulia is a graphic designer, she is very arty. Adrian is a skater, and Cleo is a musician and a student.
We have a lovely cat who lives here too.
Everyone here is in their late 20s and easy going. It is generally a quiet house. Everyone does there own thing, with a get together every now and again at the weekends.
If you are unfamiliar with the area, North Acton is super close by, as is Grand Union Canal which is beautiful to walk along and offers easy walking / cycling to Paddington.
The room is available technically from 11th July, but happy for someone to move in on, or before, 28th July. I will be paying half of Julys rent regardless. There are 2 months left to my lease, but a 12 month contract could be negotiated with Margaret from the start!
