Sadly I am moving out of this amazing Peckham flat because I’m no longer working so had to move out and looking to find someone to fill the room before or by the 1st of November 😊
The FLAT:
The flat is on the first floor of a terraced house, so we don’t have any noisy neighbours above and it’s split across 3 mini levels. The neighbours below are also super friendly. It was renovated only 2 years ago, so everything feels clean and modern with double glazing and wood flooring throughout.
KITCHEN/LIVNG:
The kitchen and living room are open plan and both really large. The kitchen has loads of storage, with a massive fridge freezer and double gas oven. The living room is such a lovely space with the brick fireplace that we fill with candles in the evening, and there is also a space behind the sofa with a desk for home working and speakers to play music. There’s 3 large windows, but everything is double glazed so feels nice and cosy.
BATHROOM:
There are 2 bathrooms in the flat, one is an en-suite and the other is on the first floor shared between two housemates. It’s got a massive mirror, bath/rain shower, modern fittings and no mould!
YOUR BEDROOM:
A cosy double bedroom but in a really bright room as it’s got two windows (double glazed) that open up wide which is great in the summer. You get a lot of sun in the morning and during the day which is lovely. The room can be furnished or unfurnished, depending on your preference. The wardrobe, bed and mattress are all brand new this year (always nice to know). It’s a cosy room, but there is room for a small desk if you wanted to work from home in your bedroom as opposed to downstairs. Also the sizing is around: 306cm x 260cm.
THE AREA:
The flat is positioned on a classic south London terraced street, which feels safe but also quiet in the evenings when you want to sleep. It’s only 7 minutes to Queens Road Peckham station (overground and national rail), as well as bus stops that take you all over London. There’s a Sainsbury’s Local about 5 minutes away, as well as a big Lidl, Aldi, Asda and Morrison’s all within a 7-15 minute walk. There are plenty of nice bars and restaurants near Queens Road but also it’s not far from the centre of Peckham for more choice. The nearest parks are Burgess Park, Telegraph Hill, Southwark Park and Peckham Rye.
ABOUT US:
The flat is shared with two friendly girls (Alice and Emily) in their mid twenties (25 & 26). One works in TV production and the other is a graphic designer. They are both really chilled out, love going out for dinner and cooking, as well as going for a casual drink. They also love going to art galleries, markets and all that kind of stuff. Both super clean and like to keep the house tidy too. We are ideally looking for someone around a similar age at a similar stage in life who is looking for a chilled flat, who do things together but also have their own lives. It’s not a massive party house, but we love having drinks and dinners etc.
