Furnished bedroom available in spacious two-bed flat near Queens Road Peckham. The room is complete with bed, clothes rack and shelves. The bed is a single (with an extra single in a pull-out shelf underneath), but there's plenty of space for a double bed if preferred.
Large, welcoming and furnished living room with high ceilings.
A fully-equipped kitchen with gas hobs, oven, washing machine, microwave, kettle, toaster, large fridge/freezer and plenty of space for storing food and cooking.
Bathroom equipped with a powerful and reliable shower.
Big garden for private use for this flat only. I grew lots of vegetables there last year, if you have green fingers you can grow your own things too! We also have damson, pear and bay trees.
We also have a storage cupboard in the hall.
Both bedrooms are at the back of the house for a quiet sleeping arrangement. The neighbours are quiet too. We're on the ground floor. There's a basement flat below and two flats above us in the building.
My current flatmate, Harri, who I have become good friends with through the flat share, is moving out to live with his partner.
I'm looking for an open-minded, friendly, positive, conscientious and respectful flatmate.
The letting agent currently charges £787.50 per room and they have not indicated that they are increasing this price. Bills (electricity, gas, water, internet, council tax (Band B)) bring the overall cost to around £940 per month. The deposit is £908.65. References will be required.
It's just a five minute walk to Queens Road Peckham Overground station (access to the Dalston Junction to Clapham Junction Overground line, and Southern Railway into London Bridge in eight minutes), and a seven minute walk to Nunhead station (access to Victoria in 17 minutes).
The charming green space of Telegraph Hill is an eight minute walk away, complete with a community run cafe (The Hill Station Cafe), and the Dinner For One Hundred pizzeria, as well as a great local pub, Skehans, on the corner of the street before the hill. Nunhead high street is a seven minute walk away, which has a range of independent retailers including a bakery, greengrocers, butchers and a couple of very nice cafes and bars.
I'm a 33-year-old analyst working at the Climate Change Committee. I'm from Bristol and have spent time living in Oxford, the US, France, Belgium and Palestine. I’ve been in London for six years now (in this flat since 2023) and very much enjoy life in the south east of the city. I work from home 3-4 days a week.
The room is available from 1st April and the initial contract with the letting agent is for six months, moving onto a rolling contract thereafter.
If you're interested, please send me a message explaining a bit about yourself and what made you interested in this flat share, as well as confirming your interest in moving in for 1st April. I’d be happy to answer any questions about the flat too. I will be in touch to arrange a viewing.
