You'd be living with two charming blokes -
Dominic works in marketing at a record label. A music enthusiast, going to lots of gigs, festivals and Saturday pay day trips to record shops in Soho. Also big into football, running and cycling. Plus naturally the pub.
Tom works in private aviation in Mayfair. Other interests include film, literature, great outdoors.
Both are clean, polite, friendly and respectful.
THE ROOM
Has two large windows, a semi-separate desk area and a gas fire. It gets a lot of light throughout the day and comes fully furnished with a double bed, wardrobe, chest of draws and chair. Plus cupboard storage and shelving.
THE FLAT
There is no living room, but a cosy kitchen with table and chairs, which is used as a communal area. The flat is pretty 'cosy' overall and, although it is a little rough around the edges, the rooms are all large and it has plenty of character and charm. Not to mention the location is fantastic for any city-goer.
THE AREA
The flat is in on the top floor of a historic Lutyens designed building - pretty equidistant between Pimlico and St James' Park tube stations (an 8-10 minute walk), and around a 15 minute walk to Westminster and Victoria (handy for Gatwick). The building and courtyard are kept in very good condition, maintained by gardeners and cleaners each day. The vibe around the flats is generally very peaceful, quiet and safe with large electric iron gates at the entrance and key fob activation for access to the stairs/elevator too. There is bicycle lock up facilities in the courtyard behind the gates too.
There is a Sainsbury's local downstairs, a Tesco express around the corner and a larger Sainsbury's a 10 minute walk away in Pimlico. You’re spoiled for green spaces with St John’s Gardens on the street, not to mention St James and Hyde Parks down the road. In terms of cafes, there are two cafe's on the road itself, including the famous 1940s Regency Cafe and a Pret/Leon around the corner. Local shopping is best done in Pimlico, but the west end/soho also in walking distance.
Our landlord is pretty ‘hands off’ shall we say and lives up a mountain in Italy painting. So leaves well alone. But is friendly and reasonable for any requirements you need as a tenant.
