Looking for someone to share this great central London apartment.
About the flat:
The flat is a modern 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment on the third floor of a building one street back from Old Street Station. so is very central and close to everything. It is particularly handy if you work in the city as I do. There are a whole host of really nice bars, restaurants and cafes just around the corner.
The available room is a double room with the main bathroom being essentially for your exclusive use. The room comes furnished with a double bed, two bedside tables and two lamps and the room has a fairly decent wardrobe.
The flat has a microwave, fridge, freezer, stove, oven, dishwasher, combined washing machine and dryer. and heating/air-conditioning. In the living room I have a 55" OLED TV and decent sound system set up. The development that the flat is part of also has a gym, sauna, sky garden and 24 hour concierge.
About me:
I'm a 29 year old gay male lawyer originally from Melbourne, Australia now working at a corporate law firm in London in the Information Technology/Intellectual Property team. As you can imagine, I work long hours so you probably won't see me too much during the week. I'm friendly and sociable and usually up for a wine and a chat whenever I'm not working. I spend what little free time I get travelling, going to shows, catching up with friends and watching trashy television shows.
Fancy myself a pretty decent housemate so happy to provide housemate references if you’d like.
What I'm looking for:
A young professional who's neat and tidy (but not a clean freak), friendly and up for a chat and possibly a glass of wine now and then (basically someone who's normal). Extra points if you enjoy talking about nerdy technology things and/or RuPaul's Drag Race :). Straight males very welcome (I've lived with numerous straight male housemates before and it’s never been awkward).
Single occupancy tenancies only (no couples).
The new tenant will have to be added to the lease (will be for just shy of 12 months as I only just moved in) and so will be subject to a reference check.
Cost:
Your share of the rent would be £1260 per month. Your share of the bond will be £1510. Bills are in addition to rent and will be split 50-50 - they include: council tax (~£180 total per month), electricity and gas, water, broadband, TV and hoping to get a cleaner soon every ~3 weeks. At an estimate 50% of the bills would probably total roughly £200 per month.
Due to my working hours, viewings will usually have to be late-ish in the evening (~7:30/8 or so) or on weekends.
