Nice Room In Happy Houseshare In Lovely London

Hi, we're looking for a 6th housemate to complete our houseshare for the new tenancy agreement beginning in September.

It's a cosy room with a desk and double bed, wardrobe and .... a big... window. We share a massive bathroom (there's also a small shower on the top floor) and a huge kitchen with 2 sinks. We also have 3 toilets on different floors. It's a big old house that's recently been painted and renovated. In terms of rent, it's great value for the area. The bills aren't that much on top, with 30 quid a month ctax/water, £6 for net and elec and gas bills when they come.

The house itself is 1 minute from Stoke Newington train station and 2 minutes from fabled Church Street. It's opposite beautiful spooky Abney Park and a short walk from Clissold Park. There's generally good trains and bus services into town. Like the 476 which stops outside the house and goes to King's Cross.

We're currently 2 girls and 3 boys from across the EU, English, Italian, Dutch and Irish. We're all professionals and get along nicely. If you want to chat and hang out, there's usually someone in the kitchen in the evenings, or if you want some quiet space, you can retire to your room, so it's a nice relaxed vibe. There's a vegan, a vegetarian and omnivores in the house. Personally, I've been living there for over 3 years and it's the best house I've lived in.

We're looking for someone who has a job, preferably older than 25 (ie. mature, but maturity being relative), who pays rent and bills on time and who is conscientious about cleaning up after themselves and switching off the ovens, closing the front door properly. Someone peace-loving and peaceful who has a good sense of humour, interesting and fun but not a wimmy wham wham wozzle Slurms Mackenzie party slug. And someone who is aware when its their turn to take a hand at hoovering or cleaning the kitchen.

Incidentally, the new contract is for a year but each housemate has the right to find a replacement if they move out during that time. However we're looking for someone who'd like to stay for 6 months at least, to get to know and have a settled house. We would consider short lets of 3months or more, but all of us will have to sign a contract for the year regardless.
