I am moving out of my spacious room in my current flat in Streatham and am looking for a female to replace me and take my room in this beautiful homely flat. You will be living with one other person, a 31 year old female.8 month minimum contract.
The room is bright, airy and open. It comes unfurnished, however, I am willing to leave all of the current furniture pictured (Bed, Chest of Drawers, Dressing Table with Mirror, Side Drawers, Clothes rail) for a small price or alternatively you can bring your open furniture.
The flat is a 2 bedroom flat with a separate large living room and a separate kitchen. The flat was unfurnished at the time of moving in. The remaining tenant has now been in the flat 3 years and in that time has worked hard to make it a beautifully decorated home, which is cosy and welcoming. The kitchen has everything you would need in terms of good cooking facilitates and again is more than big enough to have 2 people cooking at the same time! It includes all amenities you would expect to find.
The flat boasts super fast broadband, access to amazon tv and Netflix in the living room, and a bathroom with both bath and shower overhead.
The property itself is off the road on private grounds, there is one parking space per flat in. a private car park that can be shared and all of the roads surrounding the flat are also free parking.
nb: The living room now has a new sofa to the one in the pictures and now has a fold away desk to be able to work from home due to covid.
The flat is situated walking distance from 3 overground stations (Streatham, Streatham Common and Streatham Hill). There is also a bus stop outside one taking you directly to Brixton underground station for the Victoria line (20 mins on bus) and the other direction taking you to Tooting Broadway for the Northern line (15 mins on bus), I also walk to Tooting Bec station in 20 mins.
You are also a short 5 minute walk (or less if running!) to Tooting Common and 15 minute walk to Streatham Common and the Rookery, perfect for walks!
Streatham is a lovely area and has lots of nice options as far as shops, pubs, and coffee-shops go. Within walking distance there is a Tesco Superstore, Sainsburys local, M&S, Lidl and Aldi for food and a number of other convenience/ highstreet shops.
Potential New Housemate
You will be living with one other female, 31 years old. She has quite a busy job so during the week is working hard and keeps it quiet and chilled, she is into cycling and running so is often exercising around the nearby parks/ common. At the weekend I spend time with family and friends or exploring new restaurants. Looking for someone who is busy with their own life and hobbies but also wouldn't mind a chat or a glass of wine over watching Great British Bake Off together!
Costs and Details
The contract and general handling of the flat is taken care of by an estate agents in Streatham, Andrews and Andrews (although, we have direct contact with the landlord and he is extremely efficient and accommodating if anything is needed).
The new tenant will be subject to a reference check, however, there will be no cost for this by the new tenant.
The contract is for 8 months from November 2020 until the end of July 2021 initially.
Monthly Rent: £600
Monthly Bills: Average at £150 (includes Electric, Water, Council Tax, TV License, Internet, Amazon/ Netflix TV)
The rent and bills will get transferred directly to the remaining tenant on or around 13th of each month and she will direct debits set up from a separate account.
When you move in you will need to pay the deposit to the estate agents, then start paying rent from when you move in and take over the tenancy.
