We are looking for a lodger to rent a good size double room in a 3-bedroom split level flat with a small garden.
The flat has 1 bedroom and the kitchen downstairs and 2 bedrooms, a bathroom and a separate toilet upstairs.
The room available is upstairs. It has a double bed, a big chest of drawers, double-door wardrobe with mirror and a TV.
The kitchen has a dining table with chairs, washing machine, fridge/freezer etc.
There is some limited storage space, but we don't have enough space for a bike in the flat.
The flat has a sunny back garden as well as a communal green area at the front, the neighbourhood is safe and is one of the best around with leafy, wide streets and friendly neighbours.
The room is available from 2 January 2024.
£675 + electricity and water (works out to about £60-65).
About us:
We are friendly and social, both in our late thirties. Damion (live in landlord) works in social services and I (Dora) do hairdressing. We both work a lot, therefore like to relax when we are at home, watch a movie, go to the gym etc. We like to think that we are easy going and friendly, however due to the early hours/different shifts we work, we keep the noise to a minimum after 10pm (this would need to be respected!).
About you:
We are looking for a clean, non-smoker, who is likewise friendly, easy going and reliable with common sense. It would be nice to live with someone who is looking for a home (rather than just for a room to rent) and treats the place like your own! You should have a daytime job.
About the area:
The flat is located on the top of Streatham Hill/ Brixton Hill. The area has excellent public transports (day or night). It is about 7 minutes' walk to the main road (in both directions, Streatham Hill and Tulse Hill) where you can get several buses going to Brixton (10mins ride) for Victoria line/ Clapham/Knightsbridge/Central London or south towards Morden/Croydon.
We are also about half way between Streatham Hill and Tulse Hill train stations (both about 8-10 mins walk) from where you can take trains to Victoria and London Bridge or Beckenham Junction and Sutton. The area has a number of shops, supermarkets, pharmacies, pubs/bars, restaurants and cinemas; anything you may need is easily accessible. There are a few parks nearby and there is also free on street parking.
Rent is £750.
Please get in touch if you are interested and send some information/introduction about yourself. We look forward to hearing from you. Cheers
