Friendly guy wanted for big furnished room in house facing big park, near City & Canary Wharf, with great transport & house mates.

I am looking for a gay-friendly non-smoker and generally someone aged 20-50 age. This house would most suit a busy professional.

I'm a Aussie professional gay guy (30s), sociable (not party animal but certainly go out & do enjoy a glass of wine at home). I'm an ex-lawyer and strategy consultant and now work for a start up. Other housemates work in professional services and fitness. I bought the house ten years ago and live here with my partner. We also have a beautiful friendly Finnish Lapphund (who stays on the ground floor).

The house is spacious and renovated, directly facing beautiful 7ha Deptford Park; huge modern bathroom (with London's biggest shower! and separate bath), modern kitchen, living & dining rooms, central heating throughout, underfloor heating in the bathroom & kitchen. Living room has views of park & Canary Wharf. Big cellar, so lots of storage. Backyard for BBQs in summer, which we enjoy. Cleaning included. Unlimited 5G WiFi.

We’re 5 mins to Canada Water tube (Overground / Jubilee), or even nearer to Surrey Quays tube (2 minutes bus, 7 minutes walking). From Canada Water the Jubilee line gives great transport to:
-Canary Wharf (1 stop / 20 mins from-front door-to-desk)
-City (2 stops to London Bridge, 3 to Bank)
-West End (12 mins Green Park, 15 to Bond St)

Many bus routes (188, 47, 199, 1, 225, 381, P12) to Russell Square, Bloomsbury, City, Shoreditch, Victoria, Pimlico, Elephant & Castle, North Greenwich, O2 arena, New Cross, Brockley, including 2 x 24 hour routes from end of street to City & West End. ~30 mins to Highbury & Islington, Finsbury Park, Fulham, Vauxhall, Clapham, Battersea, Putney, Shepherds Bush, Hammersmith etc. Also walking distance (20 mins) to Goldsmiths College / New Cross / Greenwich, and just 3 stops to groovy Peckham Rye and on to Clapham Junction.

Area here is very central being so close to Jubilee line and Canada Water, London Bridge and Canary Wharf - but also relaxed due to facing Deptford Park across a very quiet street, and being in a lovely Victorian residential pocket, just between Surrey Quays and Deptford town.

Nearby are really funky cafes, great coffee, and big Surrey Quays shopping centre with enormous 24-hour Tesco Extra, banks (HSBC, Barclays, Santander), Boots, cinema, 2 x fitness centres, swimming pools, sailing etc. Lidl & Aldi nearby. Deptford town itself is very historic with Tudor-era Royal Docks & diarists John Evelyn and Samuel Pepys, ancient churches & Watling Street ancient pilgrimage route, Christopher Marlowe and Peter the Great of Russia. Deptford High Street has galleries, more great barista coffee, kombucha on tap (peak hipster) and a vibrant local market. We think the High Street is as interesting as Greenwich, Brixton, Peckham or Shoreditch, and it's unique for having almost no chain shops on it. Greenwich is very nearby with UNESCO world heritage listed old naval college, observatory & royal park and good pubs. There are great restaurants nearby including great cafe, and a cool pub doing hipster pizzas and two of TripAdvisor's best rated London restaurants are very easily accessible (and quite cheap too). Stunning Southwark Park is very near and you can walk to the terrific riverside pubs on the Thames at Rotherhithe & Bermondsey (The Angel, The Mayflower) as well as great restaurants with views of Tower Bridge along the south bank near Butler's Wharf. You can walk to Tower Bridge via the river in under 30 minutes

the room is big (~3 x 3.5m) & bright, and bright as it faces west over the garden, directly catching the afternoon sun. It has a double bed, big wardrobe, drawers & hanging.
We're dog friendly (ground floor), subject to us and our Lapphund meeting and getting on :)

Price includes all bills (heating, council tax, cleaning, wifi etc.). Rent in advance, and one month deposit.
