I am currently on the hunt for a new housemate as sadly my last housemate has moved to Mexico for the foreseeable! Here is a bit of info about the place and if it sounds like it might be of interest please do get in touch :)
The Room:
The room is a lovely, bright double room at the back of the property looking out over the garden and is furnished with the basics incl. a bed, wardrobe, chest of draws etc so should be fairly easy for someone to move straight in. The room is one of three in the house and is on the first floor next to one other.
The House:
The house is a 3 floor maisonette on a really lovely, leafy, residential back road in Tufnell Park located a 4 minute walk from the tube station, 3 min walk from the closest bus stop and 4 min walk again to the closest pub! The house definitely has a very homely vibe and everyone who has lived here in the past has got on really well treating it as they would their own home and sharing the space respectfully.
The house has a fairly regular layout, comprising of a living room, dining room and kitchen which goes out onto a garden on the ground floor, bathroom and two bedrooms on the first floor, and one further bedroom on the top floor which has a little working space outside of it which has come in very handy the last year or so! Its worth mentioning that the garden is south facing and an absolute sun trap, so really lovely in the summer!!
The Area:
Tufnell Park is a lovely residential spot in north London, with the house being a 9 min walk from neighbouring Kentish Town and 10 mins from Archway. There are a number of nice pubs and restaurants nearby with other lovely amenities like butchers, cafes etc as well in throwing distance. The street itself is super residential and has a very warm vibe, we generally have a summer street party every year which is always good fun and generates a nice sense of community. Transport from the area is great as we are on the northern line, so very easy to get to the City or central london alike. We are about a 15 min bus from Kings X and the Granary Sq. Coal Yard Drops areas, so lots to choose from if you're out for dinner etc. We are also a 15 min walk from Hampstead Heath which is one of my favourite things about the location, so able to get over their frequently and make the most of London's best green space (*caveat that is the opinion of a biased born and bred north londoner).
