Peaceful Mon-Fri room in lovely garden flat

Ad ref# 16299885 Mon-Fri ONLY

This room is rented out until the 20th May. Feel free to contact me if you're looking to rent around that time.

Peaceful Central London bedroom for rent in a three-floor garden flat on a quiet, tree-lined avenue in Tufnell Park, Zone 2. Excellent bus/tube/overground links, with the Eurostar terminal just 20 mins away. I am a writer who works from home, looking for someone who visits London during the week for work and will be out of the house during the day.

Lockable bike shed with heavy-duty motorbike chain avaiable.

Ask any questions you want! I'm really happy to work with the renter to figure out a schedule that makes us both happy, relaxed, and feeling like we have enough time and space to do our own thing and establish a comfortable co-living situation.

The bathroom is very luxurious, as you can see, and an added benefit is that there are two loos (I have a small one and sink off my bedroom, for my own use) so there's never a queue for the toilet.

Despite being so central, the area is blissfully tranquil and the bedroom is very quiet, with thermal-lined curtains for extra cosy sleeping. It's at the back of the house and very light, with large double windows that look out onto the return that leads to the garden, which is lined with little olive trees. The bedroom is on the small side, but has a double bed and a very generous amount of storage for clothes, books, suitcases etc - two large wardrobes and a shelving unit. You are of course more than welcome to leave whatever you want in the room during the days you're not here.

There are two living rooms, both with very comfy sofas and armchairs, one upstairs, one on the lower ground floor, so there's plenty of privacy to chill out. For someone who wants to spend quiet time after getting back from work, you can have your own effectively private area to chill out without having to share space with me. I have people round at the weekend but rarely in the week, so the flat is very much a quiet haven.

A cleaner comes in weekly (included in the rent). The garden is charming, with a little grassy lawn and a mature pear tree, plus zero-gravity chairs so you can lie out there and enjoy the birdsong.

Do please note that I have a fluffy cat, who is very entertaining if you like that kind of thing. She won't bother you, and she's an indoor/outdoor cats, so there is no litter situation, but it wouldn't suit people who are anti-cat. You're welcome to invite her in to visit your bedroom or to keep it an entirely cat-free area - your choice!

I'm a foodie, so the kitchen is equipped within an inch of its life, including a Kitchen Aid and a truly excellent De Longhi coffee machine. The main bathroom has a wet room with choice of shower /directional shower, and a whirlpool bath with colour change lights which is better than any spa I've been to. If you want bedlinen, pillows, duvets, towels etc I'm happy to provide those and do washing at an extra charge. Previous renters have asked me to do four washes for them a month (sheets and clothing) and I charged £50 for that. I'm also very happy to include you in orders for deliveries of groceries, etc.

Parking is always available. The area has two parks, a Pure Gym, an Odeon Luxe, and a ton of renowned gastropubs, all within 5 minutes walk. Hampstead Heath is 20 minutes away for walks, runs and swims in the outdoor ponds or the Lido. The Sobel Centre and the Archway swimming pool/gym are also close by. We have a local department store 10 minutes away, as well as all kinds of independent delis and food shops and the best pizzeria in London.

I've shared with an academic and a literary agent at an apartment I previously had in New York, so am really used to and happy with sharers on a pied a terre basis, and can put you in touch with them for references - the academic became a friend and we have shared various apartments for 20 years without a cross word. Full internet, wifi, cable TV, HD smart very large TV, TiVo, laser printer and scanner, Bluetooth speakers, all the modern mod cons. No smokers please.

Please feel free to ask any questions you want! I'm really happy to work with the renter to figure out a schedule that makes us both happy, relaxed, and feeling like we have enough time and space to do our own thing and establish a comfortable co-living situation. I am a latish riser, so this would particularly suit someone who likes to have the place to themselves in the mornings before heading off to work.

Happy to provide more photos and info! Ideally I would like a long term Mon-Fri renter but am happy to discuss shorter stays, etc, for a slightly increased rent based on length of stay.
