Single Room Sublet in Wood Green (Late June – Early August)
Hi, I’m Kyle. I work as an English teacher at a summer camp, and due to work commitments, I’ll be away from London from 28 June to 26 July. I’m looking to sublet my single room during this period.
The rent is £670, plus a £200 deposit. I’m flexible with the move-in and move-out dates—just let me know your needs.
About the Room & Location
The room is in a shared house in Wood Green, home to about ten residents. My room faces the courtyard and is separated from the kitchen by a wall.
Key Advantages:
• Convenient Transport:
Located on the Piccadilly Line, just a 5-minute walk from Turnpike Lane Station. You can reach King’s Cross Station in 30 minutes.
• Fully Equipped:
The house is fully furnished with easy access to laundry and cooking facilities. In my room, you’ll also find useful appliances like a vacuum cleaner, hairdryer, curling iron, massage gun, and fitness gear.
The surrounding area has shopping centres, food markets, restaurants, and several gyms and martial arts clubs.
• Safe and Clean Environment:
The kitchen is monitored with a CCTV camera for security. Housemates are respectful and clean up after cooking. There’s a cleaning rota in place (you’ll be expected to take out the rubbish during the last 3–4 days of the month).
• Supportive Communication:
If you’re new to London, feel free to ask me any questions during your stay. On the day you move in, the room will be clean with fresh bedding provided.
Things to Be Aware Of:
• Noise:
The room isn’t well soundproofed. Before 10 p. m., you may hear kitchen noise (cooking, laundry, conversation). Fortunately, housemates are considerate and reduce activity after 10 p. m. You’re welcome to cook or do laundry during this time too.
• Shared Kitchen Use:
As there are many residents, the kitchen can be busy in the afternoons and evenings. Some housemates have set routines, so you may need to find the best time slots for cooking and laundry.
• Privacy:
The room’s privacy is limited. To block outside views, you’ll need to keep the curtains fully closed. The bathroom is accessed via the kitchen, so you’ll pass through a shared space. That’s totally normal—just ignore others as needed. There’s no expectation to greet or chat with housemates (I do the same!).
Interested? Here’s the Process:
1. Message me privately, introduce yourself, let me know whether you’re working or studying, and how long you’d like to stay.
2. We’ll arrange a viewing—in person or via video call. We’ll verify our IDs when we meet.
3. If you decide to rent, I’ll draft a short agreement. Once we’ve both signed, you’ll pay £200 as a deposit. Rent and full deposit will be due when I hand over the keys.
4. On move-in day, I’ll give you the keys and notify the landlord to add you to the house group chat. Then, the room is all yours.
5. If you have any questions during your stay, feel free to message me or post in the group—I’ll reply quickly.
6. At the end of your stay, I’ll check the room and return your deposit.
