Hi there,
My flatmate is packing his bags and buying a house down in the far south of London, so I am looking for someone as great as him to move in begining of June !
I am looking for someone friendly, chill and responsible, who likes living in a clean/tidy home, enjoys a glass sometimes, a good diner, a movie/serie and a chat.
The Flat: A lovely 1st floor characterful 2 bedrooms flat, down a quiet leafy street in Finsbury Park / Crouch End. The highlight of which is a living room with huge east facing sash windows that are bathed in light. There's a shared bathroom, kitchen and an entrance area downstairs to leave a bike etc. as well as free on street parking.
The Room: a double bedroom that overlooks lush leafy gardens to the rear, it's a little lower than the rest of the flat which gives it a really nice feeling of separation from the other bedroom and living room.
The Area: Great! No-shortage of cafes, food and proper North London pubs in the vicinity. The Woodland Walk railway track to Highgate is also just round the corner.
The Victoria and Piccadilly Lines at Finsbury Park are a 14 min walk or there's a super frequent bus which cuts it down to 5 mins if you're lazy. Journey times from Finsbury Park:
Kings Cross: 7 mins
Old Street: 10 mins (Great Northern direct train)
Oxford Circus: 11 mins
Victoria: 15 mins
Bank: 17 mins
London Bridge: 20 mins (thameslink direct train)
Me : I've just turned 31, work as a software developer in central London. I am someone calm and joyful, quite sportive and sociable.
When I'm not working, I usually take my longboard out. I'm into all the usual things, regularly go to the museum, comedy, gigs, cycling, pubs, hiking etc.
Move in date: (negociable) beginning of June
Rent: £790 payable direct to the landlord.
Bills: Water (£25) Council Tax (£65) Internet (£11) Energy (£20)
Deposit: 5 weeks rent (govt protected) + First month upfront.
Contract: 1 year rolling (though flexible)
Reference check: Required
Morris, our landlord, is a super decent guy to deal with, we've had no troubles so far and he really appreciates having responsible tenants. In the last two years he's let us repaint the flat, fixed any issues we've had and replaced the cooker and hob. We also get along really well with the neighbours upstairs (an oldish lady) and on the ground floor and have an internal storage area for bikes / outdoor gear etc.
If the above looks good, you're in your late 20s - 30s ish, have an appreciation for dry humour, are stable, keep normal hours and want to live in a comfortable, clean flat in a great location, please get in touch with a little bit about yourself.
Thanks,
Astrid
