Hello! A double bedroom has become available in our lovely duplex close to Holloway Road. My flatmate Marianela and I (Fran) are looking for a new flatmate who will be as comfortable in this place as we are.

I am a Train Conductor and Nela works in the Care Industry. We are both from Northern Spain and we have been living together for 2 years. We are out of the house a lot at odd days and times, but we like to do a bit of home life when we are around: Cooking (Often enough for the whole house, expect lots of Northern Spanish family recipes), tending the garden, having some drinks... basically, home life is quiet, but also social. We normally hang around in the kitchen or in the garden, when it's pleasant enough.

The house has been renovated and has a neutral feel throughout, it is simple, but nice. It is distributed in two floors. In the Ground Floor there is the living room which leads to the garden. We are trying to grow some herbs and veg in it and we are slowly getting better at it. There is also a 3x3m gazebo (pending assembly) so we can also enjoy the outdoors on pleasant, but rainy days. If you smoke, this is where you would be expected to do it, as the entire house interior is non-smoking. The kitchen is sepparate, fully equipped with all appliances, including a dishwasher. There is also a little toilet downstairs and a storage cupboard.

Upstairs we have our bedrooms, another storage cupboard, and the main bathroom.

We are renting the room out for £700 including all bills: Council Tax, Energy, Water and High Speed Fibre Broadband (Virgin Media up to 100mbps).

We are looking for another professional to share with. Preferibly a person who enjoys a balance of home life and outside life. Nela dabbles in Music: She sings and plays drums (The drums in the house are electronic, so they are played on headphones and only at sensible times). I am more the "Let's grab a beer/Let's go somewhere for the day" guy. I also swim in my free time with an LGBT+ masters team (Or used to, before COVID made it all more difficult).

Our transport links and nearby amenities: We are located bang in the middle between Archway and Finsbury Park Stations. 15 min walk to either. Upper Holloway Overground, 10 minutes, and Bus 91 (24h), literally at the door. For groceries you have a Tesco Express next door, various Off Licence shops, and walking a bit: Aldi and Morrison's (Big) at 15 minutes, Lidl and Iceland at 10 minutes, and Waitrose at 20 minutes. Nearby Seven Sisters Road is also home to a market most mornings, and the street has a proper fishmonger and butcher's. When things return to normal, you will also have all the bars and restaurants of Holloway Road at your doorstep. Something to look forward to! There is also a choice of three GP surgeries to register in the immediate vicinity.
