The immediate area is very leafy and peaceful, the house is positioned just off Plumstead Common and is not far from Shrewsbury Park. Nearby amenities include a Co-op, a good pub The Star which has some lovely Sunday dinners and the occasional comedy night. A quirky little cafe The Plumstead Pantry, with a very tasty menu, good coffee and great views across the Common.

If you are commuting to Central London you have a few options

The nearest train station is Plumstead with regular trains to: Charing Cross, London Bridge, Waterloo east (also some trains to City Thameslink, Blackfriars, Farringdon and St Pancras)

The second nearest station is Woolwich Arsenal, which is a 10 minute bus ride away. This also has the DLR to Bank and Stratford (which link to other lines)

Woolwich Arsenal also has the CrossRail which is due to open in 2019, bringing Central London even closer.

There is also the added bonus of a night bus service that takes you from the house to Whitehall via Greenwich Park.
