Affordable accommodation offered in EDGWARE – HA8 area, excellent opportunity for a Female ONLY Homesharer looking to live in a lovely home.

We are a Not-for-Profit charity in London who run a Homeshare programme, where we find Homesharers who are willing to provide approximately 10 hours a week of help, support and companionship to a householder who has a spare room.

TRANSPORT
• the 288 bus stop is a 5 minute walk from the house
• 25 minute walk from the house to Edgware Station, Northern Line, Travel Zone 5
• Lovely opportunity for a vegetarian only Homesharer

HOUSEHOLDER
The Householder is 79 years old a lovely cheerful lady, she loves having company but has become lonely since her husband passed away a couple of years ago. She has poor mobility and uses a Zimmer frame, she is mostly housebound as she cannot go out alone. She can’t stand up for very long periods of time due to nerve damage and arthritis. The family want to be reassured of having someone living in house for overnight security.
She wakes up around 8:00am has a carer who comes in to wash and dress her and has breakfast/lunch She enjoys watching TV the news, nature programmes and religious programmes. She will take part in exercises, reading, simple games or jigsaw puzzles if someone there to encourage/guide her.
She is attracted to Homesharing as she likes the idea of having an extra presence in the house who is able to offer some support to her and the reassurance to her family with the overnight presence and some companionship.

ACCOMMODATION
A 2 bedroom ground floor flat. The spare room is a single room with a single bed, a tall cupboard with shelves, one 3-drawer unit, tv mounted on wall, one corner shelves, stool, storage heater. The window overlooking grassed area. A shower wet room with hand wash basin, separate WC with hand wash basin, Kitchen/diner/lounge with dining table, chairs, sofa, TV, heating, and study/home office desk/cupboards area with office chair. Direct access to sunny grassed outdoor communal area.

Wifi is available in the house.

APPLICATION PROCEDURES
The procedure is filling in an application form and a profile, getting references from current/former employers and then start the procedure of matching. The room is available immediately subject to DBS and Reference checks and after an initial meeting has been organised.
