3 month let, pet sitting in LGBTQ+ flat

Hello potential flatmates!

We are hoping to find an animal-loving, queer-friendly flatmate to join us in our lovely flat this summer. You'll be able to enjoy edinburgh during the summer and festival season for a low rent in return for looking after our little dog Mac and cat Ame while we travel.

OVERVIEW
Double room available on a 3 month fixed term basis from 1st June-30th August 2024 (exact dates negotiable).


Both me and my partner are away lots during this period and looking for someone to look after my wee dog Mac and cat Ame in return for reduced rent in Edinburgh during summer and festival period. Would suit someone who mainly works/studies from home.

The total payment per month would be £400 inclusive of all bills (gas/electric, council tax, broadband).

THE DOG
Mac is a lovely, affectionate wee dog. He needs a minimum of 2 walks a day, min 2hr30mins total. And cannot be left alone more than 5hrs at a time. He walks well on the lead, (can bark at big dogs, which we are working on), can be let off lead in certain places, has many doggy friends he loves to play chase with, and is generally a cute and cheery chap to be around. He sleeps a lot in the house and so would suit someone who works/studies from home.

THE CAT
Ame is a sweet little 11yr old cat. Looking after her mainly involves lots of cuddles, daily cleaning/changing her litter box, daily feeding and turning the tap on for her as she is a diva and likes to drink from the tap!

THE FLATMATE
You would be sharing the flat with me (34, cis woman) and my partner (35, trans man). So you must be queer/trans friendly. Although one/both of us will be away some of June and most of July so you would have the flat to yourself. We enjoy cooking, hiking and camping, board games.

Looking for a friendly flatmate, to have a good chat and share the odd meal with, who is respectful and willing to keep communal areas, esp kitchen, clean and tidy.

THE FLAT
It's a lovely, bright and spacious first floor flat with a wee private garden to the side and free on-street parking. The room comes fully furnished with double futon style bed, chest of drawers and wardrobe, double tier desk with monitor, keyboard and proper ffice chair, kitchen with gas hob and fan oven that leads onto living/dining space and small bathroom.

THE LOCATION
Stenhouse is a residential area located to the West of the city centre, but easily accessible (about 20 mins) by a number of buses, tram or cycle; well located for access to the Gyle and bypass out of the city. We're also close to Saughton Park and the Water of Leith for a bit of exercise and nice walks :)
