This area offers (2) two 24 hours Tesco supermarkets with a miles, one within Hermiston Gait shopping centre, there is also Gyle's shopping centre 1.5 miles away from the flat. In addition there are the following places of interest nearby;
- Edinburgh college & Napier university (Sighthill) (15mins walk)
- Edinburgh Zoo
- RBS Gogarburn
- Edinburgh Park station
- Convenient access and buses (day/night) to the Airport
